Let's hope the FBI follows through on this and puts this guy in jail. There's no doubt he committed a ton of crimes, including computer tampering, pornography, identity theft, etc. Spammers routinely break loads of laws in operating their business. Finally, we're seeing some agencies start to enforce these laws.
Yes, there is no doubt.
Thank you, judge, jury and executioner.
Hey! I dislike spammers as much as the next guy but blanket statements like this don't help the cause.
What amazes me is that Disney (owner of ABC), which was the last major media company to start selling DVDs, was the first company to provide downloadable video to Apple this way.
They did? Where? None of the offerings from Pixar had anything to do with Disney. They are all independent Pixar works. And quite good, actually.
But this year, Microsoft (MSFT ) Chairman Bill Gates III laid into Sony (SNE ) Chief Executive Howard Stringer, according to two sources, including one who witnessed the exchange in a private room.
Gates argued that Sony's new high-definition DVD standard, called Blu-ray, needed to be changed so it would work smoothly with personal computers running on Microsoft's Windows operating system. Stringer and two lieutenants defended the technology, insisting Blu-ray would work fine in PCs.
Yet Gates's ire only grew. "There must be something much deeper going on," Stringer said later, according to another person who heard the comment. A Microsoft spokesman acknowledges that Gates and Stringer talked at the conference, but says things did not become "heated."
People aren't as dumb as you assume. Everybody who owns a nano has owned a cellphone, PDA, or other mp3 player, and knows what sort of durability is realistic.
Oh, and I've never had one bit of spyware nor any viruses infect my Windows system. Ever. Maybe I just know how to take care of my system?
And that is the problem. Many (most?) people don't have a clue as to what to do to maintain their systems. Sure, they might get a tuneup on their car twice a year but they also know not to run into trees with it. They don't know about the trees in the computer world.
Hydrocodone is probably better known as Lortab or Vicodin. It's addictive. The recipients probably weren't that picky about their source.
It's not that addictive. At least to me. I had a severe injury in the past and they wouldn't refill my prescription after two years of taking it. I just stopped. No withdrawal. Nothing except I didn't sleep as well for a week or so.
About that time Seagate had a problem with their drives.
The problem was the platters didn't meet specs and they did the lube by hand. Well, this was the problem because the lube was too thick and the heads flew through it gathering lube. When they landed they would stick to the platter.
I was able to open a few drives, spin the platters, close them up and get my backups REAL FAST then toss them. It was a known problem way back then.
Freezing might have helped the stiction (sp?) problem but I never had the time to test it.
As school districts across the nation struggle to keep networks secure from mischievous students who are often more adept at computers than their elders, technology professionals say the case offers multiple lessons.
School districts often don't secure their computer networks well, and students need to be better taught right from wrong on such networks, said Internet expert Jean Armour Polly, author of "Net-mom's Internet Kids & Family Yellow Pages."
"The kids basically stumbled through an open rabbit hole and found Wonderland," Polly, a library technology administrator, said of the Kutztown 13.
Given a chance between a risky mortgage and cash in hand, most banks will take the cash.
Where do you get this information? A foreclosure has to go up for auction. I can't just find out you are behind and get the mortgage company to sell it to me. What state allows this? Due process and all that rot... and who are these many people?
Yes, there is no doubt.
Thank you, judge, jury and executioner.

I should copyright/patent "sense of humor." Obviously the corporations haven't.

Where is the yell part?

Sure. And the point is????

I wonder how many Congressmen load CDs onto a computer? There must be a few.
qz
Not everybody. Maybe most but not everyone.

It's articles like this that make me hate the word innovative. qz

Everybody has got a PC.
Rats! I don't. I never have had one. Why am I always left out?
qz
Wouldn't that be iClod? ;)
Yeah, I use a Mac.

Only if it's red.

Now God grants me what rights exactly?
qz
Not a silly question at all. I would like to hear the answer too.

In Apollo 13 they didn't make it to the moon. So where is the remake?
qz
So move now before disaster strikes your town. Now. Move tomorrow. Leave your home. Leave your past. Leave.

It appeared to be a tree.
YMMV

What is the deal if I don't see the images twisted 90 degrees?
q
WOW! I am not kidding here. You just described the entire plot of the Mission Earth series by LR Hubbard.
Don't mod this funny. Read the series. It reads nearly exactly as written above.

Can anyone tell me why the GPL could be unconstitutional?
It seems ok to me. I release this software under these conditions which I feel are fair and reasonable.
So where does the constitution come into play?
q
Proof, please. Otherwise I call bullshit.
