I'm of the opinion that a motherboard should have no extras like sound/video/LAN. That's what AGP/PCI slots were made for. Then you have more control over the design of your PC.
Question: Are there any high-end motherboards that don't have the extras included? I have a Graphics card / sound card / lan card already.
I just want a stripped down Board (P4 800 mhz).
Every fast board I see has integrated sound and other crap.
Maybe because more people are realizing it is a better idea to build their own desktop PCs from retail parts rather than buying an Expensive, Non-Upgrade-Friendly, Pre-Windows-Loaded Piece of Junk.
The construction team of the US Patriot Moon settlement is reporting a disturbance in the magnetic field of the moon. Coming from the epicenter of the disturbance is loud, annoying string music. Excavation at the site is to begin immediately.
The Chicago Sun-Times article was interesting but not surprising. It actually seems like a sensible thing to do for a newspaper to fire their employees and not make a big fuss about the integrity of their past writings.
If any other business was in a similiar situation I'd imagine they would act similiarily. For instance if there was a lazy quality control inspector at a canning factory that lets a few mice slip into some cans of fruit - certainly they would be fired but I don't think the factory would do their best to alert the public of the "scandal".
I think you can trust the New York Times. They are the ones that ran the story exposing and blaming their employee for fraud - remember?
If NYT was an untrustworthy paper they would have simply fired him and tried to cover it up. The NYT employs humans just like every other business so they are prone to err once in a while just like everybody else.
If you put 100% trust in ANYTHING where humans are involved than you are a fool. If you cast aside all trust for a single incident such as this than you are a fool as well.
Microsoft software is free only if your time is worthless.
If Microsoft wanted to give their software to my government for free I'd be all for it. Less taxes to pay. Since they're already using MS products they wouldn't have to be retrained to use any open source products or whatever. It would be even better if MS supported their software for free.
For once an article has nothing to do with Microsoft or DRM and some moron has to pipe in about it.

I prefer shopping at half.com over ebay because people set a price and can wait forever for a buyer.
Do you think ebay will carry over this functionality to their main site?
Even if they did it would still suck for buyers because so many more people go to ebay.com and that means increased demand and higher prices on average.
after all you old farts who had 8K ram computers keel over 40 years from now and I go on slash dot and tell all the kids that I had a Pentium 1 computer with 166 MhZ they will all be like . . . nah they won't care either.

You do know that spammers often forge their return email addresses? right? . . . So when you are collecting spammers email addresses to send spam back to them you may in fact be sending spam to innocent people who the spammer ripped off their email.
Dictionary.com 1st definition of the word Art as a noun:
Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature.
I would say that dentistry is an art in this definition as it is counteracting the work of nature.
Also - if you look up the word Science you will find that there are very liberal definitions of the word science. Ie: Christain Science
Personally, I find the idea of referring to anything religious as a science offensive.

"Droid" is supposed to be a popular form of "android", which means "shaped like a human".
So formally, C3PO might be a droid, but Artoo is definitely not.
Watch the Star Wars Movies again
How many times to people refer to artoo being a driod?
Many. Here's just one example
A very well put-together little droid, Your Highness. Without a doubt, it saved the ship, as well as our lives.
You are just extrapolating the word android from droid - a logical assumption. However R2D2 in the Star Wars universe is a droid.

Would the hall of fame also include non-existant popular robots which have added so much to the subject - like R2D2, R.Daneel (Asimov) etc.. ?
Hi, Would someone that actually can get on this service please tell me if songs from The Beatles are available? How about all the regular albums? I own no Mac. and am curious about this.
Columbia house and BMG do not stock Beatles albums probably because of some dude with the copyright doesn't want to let them.

True, but they made you pay money before which is even more irritating.

Did he say that all activities should be gender neutral? Nope.
However, you still found it necessary and to point out the fact that some things in this earth may be gender bias. Thank you for that.
