I want to know how good they are at automatic, "no net scouring for the obscure method " REMOVAL without intervention, and without leaving behind a system that is a shambles..
I tried to teach a guy how to hunt down and remove his own stubborn spyware..
check processes, and end'em, search for them on google, run msinfo and uncheck boxes.. I thought he could handle it- really,
you don't want to know what was left in the c:\windows folder when I got back to him- you really don't- mebbe 50 files....
I have a Kyocera 7135, from verizon, and it can do everything people can't do without paying.. if I have an mp3 or wav on my comp, I can make it a ringer or phone sound.. I can move files and pictures from my phone to comp by cable or IR or wirelessly, I can use it for a laptop modem.. in fact, every feature of my palm 4 device works as advertised and spec'ed
that said I fear replacing it a year-2 down the road for some clamped down MF that I can't do anything with.
I had no problem with people paying 9$ for a candybar phone being charged 2$ for a damn ringer, adding the required technology to the phone had to be subsidised by some method. -pay per use works for this...
I equated my full price purchase of a $499 phone as something that entitled me to a bit more of technical capability.. without additional charges..
I'm worried as hell (I almost bought the 710 for my wife) about my next phone and it's inability to make it do what I want....
The processor serial number is passive. Thus, it does not transmit or broadcast itself. If a person chooses to enable the feature, then, when visiting a website that can utilize processor serial numbers, the website needs to send software to the PC to read the processor serial number.
I am a prosumer.. my eldest is 20 months old, I've made now 4 different dvd's to distribute to family on both sides of the pond, and my abilities with video editing tools grows each time, but it still takes 6-8 hours (p4 2.53) from finished AVI to first DVD burned
I find that excessive.
CGI is something I'd like to dabble in for future projects, I know it's a resource hog.
the point with a handheld is to do tasks more efficiently than without them.. if that means Pocket PC, Palm, or Linux- who cares.. the point is to track appointments, contacts, and other 'in the field tasks'
not to see how 'leet' your handhelds OS can be
ps. if I had to guess, I'll see doom 3 on the Pocket PC a few years before I see it on a zarius (and I may get 2-3 new frames of the game in those few years too)
what is the reason people make personal multi-thousand dollar investments to do this?
what is the motivation for the alluded to 'top' level, something about buying a 15k camera for prestige of having an illegal copy first sounds like utter bullshit.
everything in this article about what motivates people to this depth seems wrong, except for MAYBE the high school kid, who does it for access to better sites..
hell, verizon can just send the RIAA a phonebook from every region and say- they may be..

"The Radiant Doors" by Michael Swanwick
creepy as all hell- and on the topic for a change
I find that excessive.

damn thing can likely be played under unix if that's any kind of indication...
authoring a DVD in less than an 4 hours from the dv-avi source?
my own CGI production in my lifetime?
Murder-it's easy to commit, so making it illegal is silly.

no it's not, someone used 'find and replace' to swap linux with robot..
have any experience with vonage? and it's bandwidth use? i do- and it's really high...
I had vonage. it brought my home cable modem to it's knees.. it uses far more than 4kbps
widespread wifi voip will force me to close them. the bandwidth potential is to severe....

1999 was when it was founded
can anyone tell me, when are the three laws of robotics NOT required?
gosh, maybe even just a little 'love tap'
delta V is a function of how hard you smack it, and from how far away..
due to your EXCELLENT math skills.
seriously, that sound recorder app included with windows-- and it's 12$ cheaper
I can't do that, Dave
