I would personally move out of the basement, and into a loft conversion room if you have one. You can then install a Velux window - great for getting lots of natural light into the room, and then you can have a cool motorised blind for when it gets too sunny that you can rig up to your PC and then control via a temp/sunlight sensor:):)
Although you have realised the benefits of natural light, no artifical light will ever be as good, so make the effort and get yourself into a nice, light room!

I agree with them. CinePaint is definitely a much more professional sounding name than FilmGimp was and also more than the other suggestions.
If it had a name like FilmStudio, it would sound to me like an amateur effort (My First Film Studio?!?!), which we know it is not and would not have the success it will most certainly have in the future.
As much as I don't want to beleive it, I am now thinking that we could be seeing the end of nVidia, just like we saw the end of 3DFX a few years back now. The GeForceFX is just so huge and noisy comapred to ATI's offering, it is not even funny.
I guess there are not as many companies (especially computer/IT/internet companies) that can survive long these days - we are seeing more and more "infallible" companies failing nowadays.
As soon as ATI makes better drivers for Windows/Linux and other OSes, then they will sell even more than they do now.
I wonder if this will apply to companies such as Google and Microsoft....:P

Enjoy!
If a big vagina popped up on my screen for 15 seconds, I don't think it would be the only thing popping up in the vicinity :D
They should now team up with the Robotics students to make a pacman robot that follows the maze and 'eats' the 'pills'.
Now THAT would be *very* cool!!!
None of these claims are true. /. and defaced index.pl to show this story!!!
/. ever been defaced by e-vandals?
Someone has just hacked into
But seriously.....has

Well I like it anyway

Is it just me or does this look like Sony are copying Apple's idea of integrating the monitor and computer into one box.
In essence, the look of this is a redesigned new iMac (the one with the flat screen protruding from the semi-sphere).
However, this is not necessarily a bad thing, as it brings gorgeous looking compact computers to x86 users at last!

Lots of Ropes:[Initial Cost: £10,000, Ongoing Cost: £0 (near enough)].

I think the problem is obvious here

I think there is a big market for compilations of classic games on portable consoles like the Gameboy SP.
And people on ancient PCs can play these games without having to have $300 video cards - good for poor people who still like addictive gameplay.
I hope this does not mean that I will get sent SMS texts offering to "increase my penis size" like the kind that litter my email inbox now.
;)
The phrase "is that a phone in you pocket, or are you just pleased to see me?" will never be the same.

Will OS manufacturers have to pay to get an "unlock code" that allows them to run their OS on the BIOS.
That would be terrible as it would kill many under funded open source OSes that aren't as big as the Linux big players.
