This is not just a dupe it's a dupe of a preview that is over a month old!!11! I know it's probably not going to change much in the next month or so, but I think the team probably heard the complaints the first time...
I just can't wait for the parody images that use the new controller.
I was so looking forward to this console, but I don't think I can buy one now... And I think of myself as fairly broad-minded. Just can't bear telling my friends "Got this great new game for the Wii, you should see it". They will smirk every time. They won't get over it.
Sorry Nintendo, your name is too "farsighted" for me.
Unfortunately, this is just the theoretical maximum thoughput. In real life examples, we have found that it maxes out at around.000001 babies per month. There seems to be a problem with the supply of sufficient resources to keep the women fully productive. The problems with cache depletion rarely affect real life output, this is a phallacy (lol).
Also the heat generated through lack of insulation is a serious consideration. Cash has been found to be a great insulator. Likewise, many times the failure comes through lack of planning. Cash and regular back-rubs are rarely provided in sufficient quantities to keep the production line running smoothly.
TQA requires that thorough pre-flight testing be done and though there are many volunteers for this type of testing, though once again planning is the major hurdle. Quality assurance can only achieved if guidelines are diligently followed.
Correct insertion procedures and lack of follow-through are also seen as major hurdles before we can see real-life throughput in any way approaching the wildest dreams of nerds everywhere.
I mean I have 2 Macs, and I check apple.slashdot.org all the time... but is this seriously something to post to the front page? I mean really?
Macs rule and all that, but even I can accept that a minor sytem update would be a pretty slow news day...
I'm just hypothesising, but...
1. Set up Linux mDNS responder, as described here: RendezvousForLinuxHacks
2. Find out the "service code" for xCode rendezvous services, and enter into config file.
3. Profit!!
Unfortunately there are comments about Apple using a different/older version of distcc - don't know how that is going to impact things ??
That sounds just to likely. After following business movements for a while you start to see that "maximising profit" means fighting to the last cent for every advantage - a rapacious business can crush the others and feel happy because they have "maximised profit".
I'm praying that something happens to change this possibility... what has happened to our OS landscape?
Chimera just got Auto proxy configuration support so I can use it at work.... Trust me Apple will never release a browser that supports auto proxy configuration because it is not a standard its an MS implementation in the lack of a standard (I'm not knocking MS on this as big organisations needed auto proxy config)
Chimera and Mozilla do support it.
Enough said.
Finally, I'm not even sure I really like the look of Safari as a full time browser. AND Apple don't care about the "technofiles" (ie US) they are mostly after the average joe... so I won't be surprised if Safari _NEVER_ gets tabs.
Sorry guys. Even if Chimera doesn't get developed past today I'm probably going to be using it for quite some time to come. It works right now for everything I need.
But the Internet isn't hugely more effective at _killing_ people.
Oh wait...

From my mobile running Windows Mobile!!
(unfortunately it took so long to load this page I had to post before the page finished loading...)
So a signature still remains the best way to individually identify someone?
You see that's why they can't release it... Nothing can live up to the expectations...
Shut 'em down, shut 'em, shut 'em down.
I suspect this comment is a joke.
:)
Note: at the time of posting you can't (for love or money) buy either system and call it a day
Look I found this funny/interesting, and I'm glad it was posted to Slashdot but I'm a childish gamer nerd... How did it make front page news tho?
...
Perhaps because Slashdot is edited by childish gamer nerds?
Naaa......

I agree. It feels good to know that I'm paying a small child in China to play WoW, instead of knowing they are slaving in a sweat shop...
is which version of the the GPL? ;)

And one more thing...
.pbproj to Unix Makefile
PBTOMAKE -- Xcode
??
Why not, I hear you ask??
www.zengobi.com
Check it out.
It is the ultimate storyboarding tool, and is perfectly suited to doing what you ask.
'Nuff said.
Ps IMHO it is a true OS X implementation and a clear differentiator between Macs and other platforms. "Really, really, really good!"(TM)

Porting some of these to C is not exactly trivial.

And they could make really great screensavers...
(Well maybe three words ;)
