I think most "technology review boards" don't care if the suite acts like a single application as long as the tools are all branded together. I think they're more interested in having a set of apps that all look and work the same.

At the same time, many people prefer to have seperate tools that they can mix and match. Suites usually feel like bloatware even if they're not.

Hey! It costs a lot to brainwash billions of people. The human brain can only hold so much information. We have to buy a lot of advertising to get everyone to like the same 4 or 5 songs at one time. There is just too much of this "new music" out there. No matter how hard we try, we can't get rid of it. There is no such thing as customer loyalty anymore. The only way to get everyone to pay attention to OUR music and ONLY our music is to saturate the market with advertising. If people would just stop creating so much of this "new music", maybe we could stop advertising so much and lower prices!

Funny how there isn't an option for that on the census forms.

Actually, I just read the other day that 20% of the latest US census respondants identified their heritage as American. They say it's a growing trend. I've never participated in a cencus, but I too would probably identify myself as American. I thought I was mostly German, but I recently found out that I'm 75% English. It just so happens that my last name is German. Not that it matters. I think culture is pretty evil to begin with...I'm me.

Faith is like sexuality. It makes great art. Let others discover it for themselves. And please keep it behind closed doors. For non-theists, this applies to the absence of faith as well. It's not for public display or debate. No matter how hard you try, you can't prove that you're right. It all comes down to faith.

Pedofiles want to victimize unsuspecting children that can't legally consent for themselves. Locking up pedofiles isn't about condemming their desires. It's about protecting children.

I agree that Whittebit will most likely fail at overtaking Google, but this feature, or ones like it, could still take hold. What is stopping Google from implementing or buying this technology if it turns out to be useful. I think Google's search results would improve if they allowed for certain user feedback. Perhaps they could keep track of which link each user clicks after searching for 'sex' and incorporate that information into their alorithm. People/bots could try to promote their own sites, but Google could account for this as well. It would also be neat if they could incorporate some of the algorithms used for weeding out spam to filter bad search results.

Being that Linux is free/open, Microsoft could make a killing leveraging the strengths of Linux with their own technologies/support/services running on top. From what I understand, they wouldn't even need to GPL Office, or their window manager. What is holding them back? If it's pride, they need to grow up and do what's best for the company.

When we'd get a complaint of an open relay, we'd first test it ourselves, then hound the hell out of the responsible admin. You won't always get this result, but if you go high enough, they'll at least close the relay temporarily and open another in it's place.
