what kind of technology are you both into and using. (eg. PC or Mac? Windows or Linux? Explorer or Firefox?) and do you use it for any aspect of the show.
I have two possible solutions. The first involves the prisoners electing a starting prisoner. once he is selected he places the chalice at the edge of the table nearest to his door. This would assume the king only changes the orientation of the chalice and not the position on the table. Then the other prisoners are called and if the chalice is placed one position counter clockwise to their cell then they move its position. Once all the prisoners have been called the original starter will notice the chalice in the position in the cell counter clockwise next to his. He can then answer the question yes. My other solution would be as others have described in the orientation of the chalice, as others have said if the king can change it then you can't possible calculate anything from it. But I think that there is a chalice and a cup on the table. reading the problem it mentions the word cup when describing that the king can manipulate it.
My initial thoughts were as most (bandwith, content, Feh, etc)
but then I thought well it has to start somewhere, hands up all of you that were on the internet 10 years ago (ok bad audience to ask in!) but you get the picture
I think in 10 or so years time everyone will be wondering how they survived without their inter-thing-a-mabob that does everything and will probably be talking about if going to the local implant shop to get the latest wotsit 'uploaded' is a good idea or will take up too much space.
I can't wait for the next advancement in cooling technology....

yes of course, but the toast shop making that volume of toast would not be buying toasters built for home use. They would have a toaster farm probably running 'open toast' insted of winToast

I have been thinking what other products (cars, appliances, electronics) that boast such small performance increases for such greater expense?
Picture this....
Salesman: and this toaster makes toast.5 seconds faster
Me: great, how much?
Salesman: its double the price of the standard model
This joystick (looking nothing like the original Intellivision controller
Thank god! that controller must have been the worst thing ever developed. I never had an intellivision (my friend did) but more importantly I never 'wanted' one and it was because of two things
1) The colecovision, better games and an atari emulator
good point, Boot up time is always something that has always bugged me, this is the reason why my PC stays on all the time.
I have never liked the hibernation or standby options, they never seam to work properly
Ah the good old days, I also remember my IIe, got it for christmas in 84.
Your right about the 'No appreciation' factor, everything today is so instant, I remember typing in programs from the mags (remember beagle brothers one liners!)
I live in fear of the "non-dos command" generation
My advice would be to get dos installed and see where it all started (well almost started). It will teach some valuble lessons. then get something like pascal which is fairly easy to program. after playing around with that you will be ready to progress onto VB in windows

Edit: not of the 5 1/4 variety
what FedEx and UPS ? - serving you 5 1/4 inch bits of plastic or if you were lucky 3 1/2
its to fit the round peg in the hole better
It's Spudnic

Have either of you ever believed a myth to be true at anytime in your life? And how did you find out it wasn't true and how did that make you feel?

Was there a make or break moment when it could have all ended? If so what pulled the project back on track?
Hope it has an IP address, It would be cool to ping something not on earth.
