also, just to make myself look stupid, i misspelt "comma" both times in my post. these are not the spelling mistakes you're looking for. please move along.

if you're commenting on the poor grammer in the submission i think you've made a mistake. he used the possessive just fine.

the new missing sync software is markspace's project, there's no plural about it.

what he did misuse is the coma in this sentance:

"After many months (years for some early adopters) of waiting, users are finally able to see the light of day for Markspace's, MissingSync for the HipTop."

there should not be a coma after "Markspace's" ...

    now who's nitpicking.

white, middle class males have always had the best deal there is. we have always been able to get what we want with no govermental/societal/social rad blocks keeping us back. we don't need help.

on the other hand, a lot of minority groups have been systematically pushed down by institutions like universities for hundreds of years.

have you ever heard of a "no white man" policy at a country club? but there are still some "no jews" and "no black" policies in north america.

so who's getting the "raw end of the deal"?

  6. Mona Lisa Overdrive on Digital 'Ghosts' To Guide Students On Campus · · Score: 3, Interesting

This reminds me of the "guide" that the little girl has in William Gibson's "Mona Lisa Overdrive" .. it was a character that accompanied her everywhere to help her find her way around London.. If they could package these ghosts in portable devices that people could carry it would be essentially the same thing.

Once again sci-fi predects the future....

  8. Re:Propellerhead on What Pro-Level MIDI/Audio Tools Are You Using? · · Score: 1
Propellorhead is great for hobbiests and tinkerers, but it's not professional stuff. the sound quality just isn't there.. and it's very restictive.

same goes for cakewalk... for pro midi and audio work you'd want cubase or logic... they're the only ones with the timing and flexability to work in a pro studio.

i've been an experimental electronic musician for years.. so i do have some experience with all this software. but, if you're really interested in audio and sound you should check out PD .. it's open source, runs on all platforms and is the most flexable and amazing audio tool you'll ever use.

    anyway, just my 2 cents.
