They are, by phone at least. I came home today from shopping, and there were two messages on the machine. BOTH of them were from John Edwards' campaign crap. Funny thing is, the time on the messages put them within the same hour. I could understand one message, but TWO!? In the span of ONE hour!? C'mon, that's ridiculous!
"LEGOLAND California is a 128-acre family theme park dedicated to families with children between the ages of 2 and 12. Just like with LEGO toys, kids are the ones who make things happen at the Park. They drive, pedal, squirt, climb, jump, stomp, slide, steer, pull, click, push, gallop, laugh, build and program their way through more than 50 rides and attractions."
Squirt!? I hope somebody built a lego toilet someplace. =/
Actually, I have never really had a problem with noisy PCs. That's because I've really never used a real noisy PC. The loudest PCs I've ever used are the ones that were at my college. My current PC, an HP, is already extremely quiet as it is. Only when I am doing something that requires some real processor power or something, like gaming or Photoshop, does it start to make any real noise. Even then, its just for a short bit.
I like my PCs quiet, and even if I had a noisy one, I sure as hell wouldn't spend 1400 bucks to make it quiet. I'd rather use the 1400 to buy a laptop or something I'd actually be able to use. I'd probably just throw a blanket on the damn thing or something.:P
You know, from the first picture that Tom shows of the case, I wonder if its really worth 1400 bucks. I mean, come on! It may be quiet, but its fugly!:(
"That's why you can't buy a TV that lasts more than three years anymore..."
Which is a shame. Nothing is made like it used to be. Newer TVs only last a few years, but in my living room sits an old Zenith color TV. Its one of those kinds that sits on the floor inside of a wooden case. It is at LEAST 30 years old, and it is just now dying. Of course, I didn't buy it. My grandparents did. I wasn't even alive when the TV was made. =)
I agree with you. From the article:
"Red Hat's Fedora Core, release in October, along with Mandrake Linux 9.2 and SuSE Linux 8.2 were major advances over similar distributions even just a year ago concerning ease-of-use and functionality."
I think that a big step seemingly in the direction of ease-of-use and functionality is a very good thing. If you asked someone why they still use Windows and not Linux, they might say because Linux is too hard for them. Anything to increase the ease-of-use of Linux just might get more and more people to switch from an easy to use Windows, to an easy to use Linux. And that, as they say, is a Good Thing.
"Real, whose aging Real Player for UNIX has fallen far behind its Windows and Mac OS X counterparts, announced the Helix Player project that would produce a new, Free Software client for a wide array of media files. While the actual Real codec will remain proprietary, the client will also support many Free Software formats, such as Ogg Vorbis."
*sigh* Who thinks the Helix Player will be just as bloated as Real Player?
"It is commonly used during colonoscopies, not because colonoscopies are terribly traumatic, but because it provides superior muscular relaxation and enhances the effect of fentanyl (an anesthetic agent)."
Yeah, and because nobody wants to remember having a tube with a camera on it shoved up their butt!;)
"2. having my credit actually photoshopped out of the picture!"
Umm. IANAL, but there's gotta be something legally wrong with that. That's the same as them taking your images and saying they took them themselves. At least, in my opinion it is.
A way for a buyer to obtain the source code in case of a bad situation, such as the writer of the source goes bankrupt? Sounds like a good idea to ensure you get your source code from somebody, just in case.
Yeah, and with Superman's strength, you'd be wearing his skull as a ring afterwards. :)
"It may be made of carbon, but this is not diamond. I doubt it's even diamondlike. It's something else."
:P
You're right. Its really cubic zirconium.

Here is your beowulf cluster of beavers! Well, not exactly beavers, but.. you know.. beavers :)

CNN named a page with Darl on it 'lol'? Haha, even CNN is laughing at him!

:/
With our current president, maybe so we can bomb them.
I guess now my nickname here on Slashdot actually means something. :P
