    think about it this way, the Linux kernal is only as efficient as the user (that being your average Linux sysadmin like me). Now if we take the amount of hours that I spend developing the linux kernal (about 25 hours a day) and divide that by the iq of linus torvaldos we would have an infinately small number.

    Holy shit you're right. OpenOffice.org has everyfucking thing I need. Those M$ c0de monkeys can't put together a good piece of software to save their lives!! Even though my Office XP has never crashed, always saves my work for me if it needs to for whatever reason, and has tools for macro support and whatnot, I'll keep using OpenOffice.org because I CAN GET MORE DONE WITH it. I NEEd To GeT mY C0w3rkerz to uze this so they can be m0r3 pr0duc7ve t00.

    I'm a Linux sysadmin and I don't see why they bother with all these other operating systems. Linux is obviously the most superior operating system todate (and will always be unless anyone else decides to get smart and release theirs under the GPL).

    I'm a Linux sysadmin and I wrote a perl script to determine water resistance over an 802.11 pedal powered network. Using this and a Visual Basic program I developed an underwater glider. My code is released under the GPL.

    Except, you would probably use BSD to set up your 802.11 network. As we all know, BSD is not as efficient as Linux.
    Personally, I'm a Linux sysadmin who releases software under the GPL.
    Now, if you were to use mud as an antennae, I would create a Visual Basic program that could route packets on my Redhat box to my Debian server. I would then wardrive the city to look for other access points and publish them on the internet.

    Being a Linux sysadmin I use GNU/Linux on a daily basis and running an 802.11b wireless network off of enviroment friendly PCs using LinusTorvaldosProcesors and Monkey-pedal-power it makes it very easy to develop software under the GPL while at the same time make money with the Linux business model (tm).
