Thank you for clarifying that for me, but I meant to imply that those who are doing the arresting (and keeping me from taking control of such dire situations) need not wait for the incident to occur before acting upon it as some in this thread would like to have us believe.
if you are on the internet, then id say your chances of being out of range of any kind of cable provider are slim to none.
My apartment building is so old that coaxial isn't dropped into any of the buildings. They do, however, have sattelite dishes that we can use to get a signal. This, despite the fact that I'm damn close to the dead center of Phoenix. Oh, and I also have a dial-up at home.
I punched the sht out of some poor schmuck because I THOUGHT he was going to kill me. Seems he had a gun in his hand (it was loaded, by the way) and it was aimed right at my face with his finger on the trigger. Hell, I should have waited to see if he actually fired BEFORE assuming his guilt.
Come to think of it, I might have been a little harsh on his pal, too. I kicked him several times in the neck because he was holding a big bomb with a lighter. Sure, one can ASSUME he might be behaving legitmately as easily as one could assume he might actually blow up that school bus full of children. There's really no way to know until that bad-boy Kablooeys all over the place

Li'l help here? The company I work for is trying to use iChat to give us Graphic Artists the ability to talk to each other, but when we launch iChat, we can't see anything. In fact, the only person that can see ANY of us is our boss. Is this a firewall problem? Or something else entirely?
When you yawn, you're readjusting the pressure inside your head. It's why your ears pop. When someone else yawns, they've just altered the pressure around your head so now YOU have to calibrate your pressure to match the NEW air pressure.
While you have a good point regarding their press release reason for departing from the floppy, it is, none the less, infantile, unreliable and incapable of meeting the needs of growing file sizes. I use a mac (Surprise!(TM)) and haven't used a floppy in four or so years and don't miss it one bit! (Surprise!(TM))

I never said it would be a slam-dunk (or even easily fought battle) for the iPod's highly sought after foothold in the marketplace. It is, none the less, an attempt to breach that marketplace and if there is an icon of the MP3 handheld arena, it is the iPod. I merely used the product to draw a simple correlation.

Maybe people in Finland should play Hot-Potato with their phones to pass time in the traffic jam. That would really screw with those boys trying to understand the traffic patterns!
Just because someone is a writer, doesn't neccessarily qualify them to write great women characters. Look at David Mammet. A man who has single handedly reshaped the way we look at dialogue ('Everyone wants money. That's why they call it money' -DeVito) and plot twists. He's nothing short of brilliant.
He and William H. Macy have even gone so far as to create their own character based acting style. Yet, despite all of his insights into human behavior, despite his incredible ability to write truly inventive dialogue, he cannot write a female character to save his life!

While that's a nice idea and I'm in favor of it, it's still a sad state of affairs when we need to enforce what should be proper ettiquite.
