well basically any company not leaving out the "dot-com" part when they answer the phone.
i would also try to get ownership of some leet names under the new ltds.com2.net2.org2.biz2.info2 and.name2 that you... well first have to get icann (or some local court in alaska) to aprove... but then you can cash in big time when you sell the popular names to real companies!!!
Doesn't the fans in the power supply make more noise, anyway
The power supply (fan?)/CPU fan make very very very little noise these days.
Try starting up your computer without the hdd's plugged in once. They're the ones keeping you awake at night (when W4rEz-PuP on the other side of the globe starts leeching those divx off your ftp with too many user accounts)

The fragged players has to keep watching the game and scream "NO CAMPING LAMER" really really loud til the camping players keep moving!

Monkey Island 2, 3 and 4 are all great games where you have to think quite a bit... and best of all, you get to laugh too.

I think Ulrich statement that we need some new laws 'before this whole Internet thing runs amok' pretty much answers for what they really know about this. I mean H-E-L-L-O! They just don't know what they're dealing with.
They have to realize that programs like Napster can't be stopped, for there will always be (are) others. And if Napster can be held legally responsable for what their users are doing, where do you draw the line? Applications like irc-clients, and web-browsers are also enableing their users to download pirated mp3s. They really need to come up with a good alternitive. Now, pirated mp3s are bad mmokay? So give us an option!
I think you're missing an important point here. This is not about if CmdrTaco is interested in this news or not, but whether it belongs on Slashdot or not. I dont know about you, but I dont want to see Slashdot turn into just another typical news site, not caring what it is reporting about as long as it's big enough. That's what the 6 o'clock news is for. Altho I can't deny that it is interesting to hear what 'the community' has to say about this particular story.
what companies could I invest in?
