When computers are common and they have comprable experience this may change. b) The jobs they do are what provide opportunities to get experiencee. c) We need a base of good programmers to do our shit we don't want to outsource and this reduces the number of them available by making the career unattractive. d) Production jobs aren't the basis of our economy anymore.
