What reasonable person is willing to work for $4/hour aside from someone freshly here from Mexico or some similar place who doesn't know any better? Yeah it's a real big problem that employers can't take advantage of people by paying them an unreasonably low wage they cannot live decently off of... If anyone is actually looking to get paid $4 an hour, they ought to move to a third world country with few/no labor laws where they can be treated as they wish.
I never said it was a small task to be a CEO, but look at it this way: these companies that thrive off of minimum wage labor would not be able exist without it. Whats the use of a good CEO without the minimum wage workers to do the grunt work? There is none... I agree their job is hard and important, but I also believe that in far too many cases they are paid too much. They should certainly still be well paid and the deserve it, but it ought to be kept reasonable....look at the airlines....why did the government have to bail them out? oh yeah, so their CEO's could keep their nice fat paychecks rolling in...
In other words, be a slave to your employer, no matter how enethical a thing they have done to you....

I know the parent was modded troll, but i'm biting regardless.
If minimum wage labor is worth so little, then explain why the giant corporations that are fueled by minimum wage labor as so goddamn rich, yet their minimum wage employees are still struggling from paycheck to paycheck...All while CEOs of such companies are practically swimming in cash. If there's any wage that's inflated, it has to be that of a CEO and other top level management positions. Not to mention the benefits these people get....yeah it must be a real killer to offer that dental plan to your employees when you are holding millions in stock options. Get a clue, man...
I'm sure that (like here) you could take the phone into a cellular place and get it activated for yourself...save yourself the cost of the phone...sure it's petty, but so is the average criminal.
You don't need a gun to steal a phone, expecially if you're robbing a 15 year old girl. There are plenty of other things you can use as weapons too...guns aren't the issue, crime rate is.
Have you ever driven in any large city here in the US? I know I have, and therefore don't have to imagine the idiots flying across 4 lanes, I see them.
I do the same as the parent...download and watch only what I want...which is very little. That brings m to my second and perhaps most important point: TV SUCKS RIGHT NOW!@#. There. I said it. Reality shows? Fuck that! They are real only in a parallel universe... Perhaps if networks put on more shows I could actually enjoy, maybe I'd sit and watch. For now, I download the few I like. Screw the rest, it's just white noise as far as I'm concerned.
I also use Google. Searching is a pretty common task when I open my web browser, so most of the time it's handy. ALso, Google's page is incredibly simple so it loads pretty much instantly - its not like I have to wait forever if I'm not intending to search for something.
Umm I don't think you know the defininition of a "Troll" if you think the story is one...anyways, he knows how to write, he just wants to learn to do so more legibly. Personally I think this is a ridiculous question to ask when all he needs to do is take his time and make sure his writing is clear while he's doing it...
I live in wisconsin, and the only real problem I have with it is the freakin cold weather. Madison is a GREAT town, it's consistantly been one of the top rated cities in the US to live in, probably due to it being very liberal in general. Also, if I remember correctly, our senator Russ Feingold voted AGAINST the Patriot Act and still is working against it. Wisconsin may also become the next state to legalize medical marijuana...in fact, the bill that would legalize medical marijuana was introduced by a REPUBLICAN. Gee, Wisconsin SUCKS man!
Occult study - unless you're studying "How Can Anyone Be Such A Moron As To Bother With This Crap" - is for losers.
wrong, wrong, wrong...
Just because you study it doesn't mean you have to become a believer in it. You've just demonstrated a case of closed-mindedness, the number one blockage to intelligence. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying you're stupid, I'm just pointing it out to you... I've studied it because I think it can be very interesting, not because I necessarily agree with it. It's all a matter of getting fresh perspectives...even if you don't agree with them at all.
The trick is believing in oneself enough. It's hard to have complete faith in oneself - to believe that you are your own god, per se.
Exactly...that is one reason I really don't like religion...it tells people to believe in some all-powerful deity up in the sky who controls everything rather than themselves. People then begin busying themselves too much with praying to their deity of choice to make things happen in their life rather than actually doing it themselves. If all the time used on praying throughtout the history of the world was actually used to go out and actually accomplish something, I would probably be typing this to you all from Mars. I've always said religion is a form of mind control - it basically tells people they individually are powerless and ineffectual, that their deity of choice is really the one running the show...and that is so not true. I'm yet to see an advance in technology, science, or society/civilization that was made thanks to some deity. Sure people can say they did it because god chose them, when really it was them who chose themselves to go out and accomplish something. Be your own god, live your own life, you will get so much farther in life....
You've just about stated the basis of my life philosophy. Strangely enough I've also done all those things you've listed at the beginning of the post. Everyone I know says I'm a very intelligent person, and I know I am...I'm not trying to be egotistical, I just know it's true to a good extent. I think the biggest factor of all is just having an open mind. By not accepting new ideas, how can a person get any smarter? I am a very open minded person, I am willing to accept or at least hear out any sort of new ideas or perspectives on anything, I don't let prior knowledge or beliefs get in my way.

By what you said, the burglar would actually have a 95% chance of sucess and only a 5% chance of getting caught...

This is novel, and regardless of the dangers of doing this in the west - gimmie that phone now kid - this will catch on
So there's no crime in Japan at all?
right...

I've done this with my original dual-usb iBook as well...in short, buy a Mac.

More like they were smart and probably didn't want to feed 'the beast' more $$.
Too bad Halo isn't related to Marathon at all...they are completely different worlds so to speak.
Mispelling can also be a driving force that causes languages to change over time. Embrace it.

Right. That's called mythology.
may I just say "WHEW!" that we backed out of it.

Perhaps the people in your district need to vote those bastards off the school board come elections?
