Just an observation on google-watch-watch.org:
The site takes a long time to explain that google reflects the public's opinion, using the example of typing in "hamburgers" to see whether MacDonalds.com or BurgerKing.com is more popular... well, have a look, I was pleasantly suprised at the public's favourite hamburgers [Google.com]
I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but the standard on the Simpsons has really been slipping these past few series, might i suggest that perhaps the show has outstayed its welcome? (please don't hurt me!)
I don't understand. I'm as pro peer-to-peer sharing as the next slashdot reader. Since I discovered the joys of kazaa (and Poisoned since switching to my Mac) I've discovered music that i never would have heard otherwise, and this has led me to spend far more in CDs than I would have/can afford.
But I also see that iTunes music store is great, it means that those who actually want to pay for music aren't restricted to doing so by buying CDs, when I pay for music I do so because I want the artist to earn from their work.
If you wanted to there isn't a single song on iTunes you couldn't get over a p2p network. All this will do is turn the record companies against the iTMS and damage a great service.
And seriously, it's not like the FairPlay liscence is all that restrictive, making ten copies of a downloaded album? I think that's fair!
I'm thinking of setting up a backup solution for my home network - has anyone used BackupPC? Is it any good? Is it particularly easy to use? Can it do the whole backup a file and only copy it again if it's an updated version etc?
Have people realised why the sequals were so bad? It's because they lacked what made the first film so appealing - Geeky hacker types suddenly given the ability to KICK ARSE!!!! It's what all the geeky target audience dream of, and zion seemed a particularly un-geeky place (note the lack of tron posters).
And why may I ask is the saviour of humankind played by the most robotic actor out there?
It's not really related, but it really amuses me that some people are fooled by:
Klez.E is the most common world-wide spreading worm.It's very dangerous by corrupting your files.
Because of its very smart stealth and anti-anti-virus technic,most common AV software can't detect or clean it.

You only need to run this tool once,and then Klez will never come into your PC.
NOTE: Because this tool acts as a fake Klez to fool the real worm,some AV monitor maybe cry when you run it.

And they are pretty nice in real life. One of my friend's dad works at Nokia and now has one of these phones and boy is it nice. The keypad is weird at first, but apparently a represtative sample of text-messagers in the UK said that the keypad was better than the regular style once you get the hang of it. The one strange thing, though, is that there's no cover over the lense (well there is but it's transparant and perminantly there and permenantly open to scratches). At first I was a little paranoid about this but apparently they tested it by literally scrubbing it with sandpaper for half an hour and not a scratch! It's also impervious to keys and change in your pocket - the only way to seriously damage it is to take a scalpal to it!
The software on the phone was all development/old versions but it's going to have RealOne and, apparently, real internet browsing (Has God answered the prayer's of millions? Is W@P dead?) and other goodies.
The phone has the usual Nokia tactile feel, though perhaps a little more plasticy than previous phones (think transition from Palm III to M100 without the shambolic hardware issues). And generally is pretty sweet. I can't wait to see the polished production version!!!
