I don't live in a terribly wealthy area, but a nice one. My friend and I used to drive around in my pickup and just grap computers. No joke, in the summer you can find at least one old computer every week. Some had usuable stuff, some don't. I have working TVs, VCRs, all kinds of crap. Most ends up going back out in my garbage... but sometimes you find something cool. Just don't be that guy on a bicycle trying to ride down the street at 5am with a roll of old carpet across the handlebars. That's just sad.:)
Seriously, everything the French manage falls on it f'n face. Let the Japanese house it. That thing will do 150% of projected output. I think it has something to do with doing Tai-Chi before work every day.
Well, having trouble posting code here...
It works though. Use the javascript button example in the article and just make the spoof page target a huge address. It crashes IE.
I'd actually like to read that. I was asking someone the other day why we actually need to brush out teeth if people got away with not doing so before toothbrushes. Not that I've stopped brushing, or anything.:)

And if we do move to a different planet when this one is trashed... everyone's just gunna complain that we're like those aliens in ID4.
This is a good point. It's hard to find legal copies of software in many places, as pirated ones at $1 a copy are so prevalent. I know a guy who was setting up optics business in Ukraine... and they couldn't get their hands on retail box copies of MS software, but dupes were like coasters over there .
At least someone understood. This other reply to my message was apparently too pissed by the grandparent to see what I was saying.

Uhm, I rooted the primary node on the carnivore system... here's the complete process I used. Yeah, I am l33t.

I know it doesn't exactly work, but I'd put Weta in the list too.

When Slashdot would be rooting for Microsoft to use
legal muscle to annihilate a smaller technology company?
The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
Was that a pig??!
Walmarts downloads are from their edited cds, which suck. I don't wanna hear poop instead of shit... what the artist intended.

and another thing about iTunes... I can't use it on Win98 apparently.
I don't know what they do have, but they don't seem to have anything by offspring or prodigy. How is that??
Wait, Apple wasn't the first music store?
I'll sign that.

Sooo.... what? I'm less likely to get skin cancer?
This is where people shout, "It's the criminals, stupid!"
So what we need is legislation making the seller responsible for their online marketing, subcontracted or not?
That's nasty. They're like fungi-infested wire brushes.
a good lawsuit.

Uh, done and done.
