I think it's time for an cancer-killer roundup article. We have the gold method, the reovirus method, and apparently this one. It seems that soon it won't be about killing cancer, it will be about investing in the drug manufacturer who's product works the fastest.
Considering what the patent application process costs, it seems ridiculous to me that they wouldn't do a reasonably complete check for prior art... no matter what the field is. So if they're not doing that... where the hell is the money going?
AHAHAHAHAhahaaa... you want a good deal on Apple hardware? HAHAHAHAHAHAaa.....
...oh dear god, I think I'm gonna piss myself. This made slashdot headlines? Couldn't you guys have just emailed him back "Ain't gunna happen." and saved him the embarassment?
Wow, maybe it was worth the imminent troll points just to brighten my day.
Sorry Apple guys, your stuff is pimp... but you know it's true.
An interesting note. I can't afford school on my own, my parents refuse to pay for it (despite having money), but the subsidized stafford is unavailable to me because my parents make too much money. That's at 22 years old. I just don't get it. My parents income, and my income, having nothing to do with each other. So I just take huge interest hits on loans.
My thoughts are, "Excuse me, but screw Paris. Oh, life is shit... just look at our weather? Let's spend that money on keeping our space shuttles intact on re-entry."
Besides, now that the French government doesn't have to spend anything on pumping that POS concorde, they can figure out why it's so damn hot there.
I won't plug my retail pc hardware co., but we carry ATI Xpert 2000 PRO cards, and GeForce2 MX400s for around $30. Less, in the case of the ATI card. If you can't sell these items for less, you may want to reconsider your business model... if it's not too late.
It is my understanding that you can't "deactive" a passive RFID tag, with the exception of physically destroying it? Is this true? If it can be done with a "scanner", and this is supposed to be the new security device, what's to keep someone from just swiping product inside the store and walking out?
"Cougaar release 10.4.6 has been posted . As always, all source code is available via anonymous CVS. Cougaar is an open-source Java-based cyber-architecture for the construction of distributed cyber-agent-based applications. It is the product of an eight-year DARPA-funded cyber-research project in highly scalable and survivable multi-agent cyber-systems. Cougaar is currently used in next-generation military logistics cyber-systems, commercial applications, and research cyber-projects. Cougaar release 10.4.6 adds survivable cyber-yellow pages and white pages services, and multiple other performance and reliability cyber-improvements."
Elements in bold added by some jerk who hates the use of "cyber".
Maybe it's not really as economical when you consider peak staffing for "mission control" for 15 months instead of two weeks? I don't know, just a thought.
You would, however, imagine that anyone would employ a lawyer when asked to sign a record contract. Who doesn't think twice before signing anything to get what would seem like free money.
What are their alternatives to doing things this way? (The artists, I mean)

Who, AOL? Oh lord, I'm imagining a cd you pop in your computer that rebuilds the drive... completely ISP-centric.
"the field could vanish altogether in 1,500 to 2,000 years"
I'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I supposed they'd default to CARD+PIN instead of CARD+PIN+RETINA for missing eyes, and recatalog face for burn victims.
I don't care, I'm still blaming god for the platypus. What the hell was he thinking? -Go Keven (no, not that Mitnick pud)
And they'll run for governor in California, of all places.
My parents don't claim me. Haven't for awhile, but I was told that I didn't qualify.

"music, software and movie firms convinced that peer-to-peer (P2P) services are a major source of online piracy"
Uh, was there ever any question about this?
How about, "e-Lick-My-Deathstars" AT&T!!!

Hows this?

If all the matter in the universe hurtles out of a sigularity, and nobody is around to hear it...
Well, you know the rest.
Wait, I just looked through my wallet... I already have 5 government issued ID cards.
Should that diagonal line deviate to circumvent frequent hangouts of muggers and rapists, in the park?
Even brilliant researchers wish they could get it faster....
"1. Mass-market by definition cannot be cool."
I agree with most of your post... but this one you'll have to take up with M.C. Hammer.
Does that mean this is the guy responsible for spending billions of dollars to find out that power lines don't cause cancer?

So, erm... couldn't people buy options on SCO and make a bundle?
