Nice and all... but how do you do when the music is not available for purchase in the States? Are you not even allowed to listen to the music? Freedom is immaginary in the USA!
I am using "telnet 80" from now on... and if by chance that is vulnerable I'll write my own minimal telnet client... so what... my eyes will bleed of html tags and other cruft... ok so where do I get a ssl capable telnet client so that I can do my online banking?
I was under the impression that it takes 10 years to get to the finla phase AIDS in any case after one gets the HIV virus. So these could still be infected but the tests are not picking things up as it should. Bad testing that is all what it is.
And they are soon to die. After this lawsuite... why would I ever want to buy any Kodak product? Why would I want to see a movie that has been made with Kodak-Eastman technology? Why would I want to perpetuate these nasty lawyer SOB's zeal for creating virtual markets? These people should be punished and are killing inovation... nay... even more... they are making inovation a crime!
Eff you Kodak!
OOooooo small biz going with Linux/Oracle are dissed that things aren't better.... Why even try to kill a fly with a bazooka? Why were they even running their own sites? Wasn't there an IBM solution there for them to use? I call this report a lame attempt and it is most definitely geared towards the ignorant masses where it is good not to trust the techies that write the programs but rather a large corporation that want to milk their boobs until kingdome come. People it is time to severe the tech idiots. They are wilfully not trying enough and don't have real computer literacy (neither point-n-click and command line is computer literacy) so either they get with the snowball Linux or get the fcuk out of our way.
Never ever blame the customer. If the customer can make it crash then it is a BAD product plain and simple. W2k works infinitly better than any other MS product, but then again I don't have anything on it more than the dev environment and I am never using it for browsing nor any other kind of communication. Windows is a big security hole... a VERY big hole.
What is a reboot?;-) I have had 10 kernel panics the last 9 years, two that were induced because of my stoopid programming. And oh yeah I am running Linux both as a server and desktop machine with plenty of apps.
It's equivalent to $25 done by us mere mortals. Suck on that for a while. Personaly I think we can all do much better than $25/year/person in charity.

any of the solutions you propose is PITA to replace and get up and running as if nothing has happened. Takes less than 5 minutes. Home directory is much harder to recreate because usually users don't do a full home directory backup.
Now what should be done is a swift and clear: shred/dev/hda
"But any bonus is better than NO bonus."
Stock options and Bonus should not be a incentive to work better. You don't change your work position with that and are placed in the hiarchy of the company. You can "never" move from that position and the company will never grow. If you think that is good you are delusional.
I coulnd't agree more with "because it is what we were born to do". Last couple of years I have been fixing the horridness of people that did it for the money. These people should hopefully never be allowed near a computer ever again. But then again it keeps me employed. Cobol programmers back in the day at least knew how to program, but the "bubble day programmers" knew nothing about it and we will pay for a very long time. All because Microsoft was touting that computing is simple and it's just point and click... shesh... common script kiddies kill the behemoth now before it is too late.
Normal humans can't even drive good and safe in 2D, how the hell will it work in 3D.
Utopian thinking where the assumption is that everyone is equiped with a brain that grasps every aspect of know-how.
It was clear already from the begining of this "saga" that 4,5,6 would be done first because they were technicaly the easist to do (visually.) 1,2,3 was next and when finaly technology made it possible 7,8,9 would be done.
Whether them being good story or not doesn't really matter. These movies are done for "kidds."
No question about it. It is flagrantly bad and posesses a well of suckitude so deep that even an event horizon from a black hole is easier to escape from.
Ok I have a x86, SPARC, MIPS and a PPC machine running all different OS flavours. So does that make me smartest? What a load of baloney that architecture has anything to do with it. Smart people usually tend to have more money thus being capable to buy expensive gear. And yeah Mac OS-X is sweet... so there.
Unbelievable Bull Shit!

SIMPLICITY FOLKS!!!
Less features is better.
and another thing... the argon that goes with it!

AND! Now I don't feel so inclined not to dup my DVD's. Again Eff you Kodak!

How about:
åfs
äfs
öfs
then its the end.

Yeah yeah I haven't RTFA but who really does. I don't belive this.
Why the hell can't I change my own friggin post... "any of the solutions..." should read "none of the solutions"

why use any external device when there is a network connection and a simple scp to the home machine will do? Simpler, faster and defintly easy to do.
Please don't post that kind of headline again.

First?
Just because you use Linux doesn;t necessarely mean that it will be good... You have to make it good.
NO. The client get the VD.
