    Microsoft will buy SCO for dirt cheap. Ballmer said they were being smart about things... What implications would it have if MS would have even one of SCO patents? Whether they being against GNU/Linux or UNIX in general? Folks, this is a play that needs to end now.

    Why was this modded funny? SCO did get Xenix from Microsoft. Microsoft is probably funding them with this suite because it is in their best interest.

    Oh cool, some sarcasm from the Windows crowd. Granted that one of the source maintainers should have cought this. Notice to everybody: This is how Microsoft will outsmart OSS, by fooling us to think that everybody has good intentions when they commit source. Balmer and Gates, Bite me!

    Why do they need a micro code parser before commands enter the pipeline then?

    They are using a special microcode cache to improve on speed on the PIV.

    Why do they have to make things so complex?

    Complexity costs money.
