    I stated that fact above. How do they sort medical necessity and likelihood of survival though. I would think long term outcome would be the highest priority. I would also though believe that organs should be flown via private flights, not patients. To ensure the patient with the best outcome/most need can get it.

    I think we can have a more fair system of allocating organs. It could be based solely on how long the person will be able to use it for instance. The 5 year outcome for patients with pancreatic cancer is not good, even with this sort of treatment. Determining how organs are allocated does not happen at the expense of actual treatment, it can be done solely based on statistics.

    He had a liver transplant. He admitted that, it is not uncommon for a person to need one due to pancreatic cancer. See that is the thing about cancer it spreads.

    You have to be able to get to the hospital in X hours, by having access to a private plane that was that many more hospitals he could sign up for their organ lists. This is a relatively benign thing a rich person can do to get a better shot at an organ.

    As another example of rich folks getting organs in slightly shady ways I present Mickey Mantle.

    Drs fail more than machines. These are the same folks who have tried to kill me several times, often have no idea about me when I visit because they fail to read charts, and prescribe medicine they feel comfortable with instead of checking actually studies.

    It is now trollish to speculate on the possible outcome of things if he had not been rich?

    I wish him the best, and hope that this was an organ no one else could have used. I just am enough of a realist to recognize that this is probably not true.

    And possibly wasted a liver someone else could have used for a lot longer. Might have even cost someone their life to extend his a little. Would be interesting to see who was next in line for that organ.

    Removing solder from flash chips is not a huge challenge.

    So the only way to be sure is to physically destroy it, and flash is reliable enough that it's difficult to be certain that you've truly destroyed it.

    I find 165 gains going about 3000 fps is a very effective data destruction device. It is also a great way to relieve stress.

    No it does not indicate that it was new and non-obvious. Only that it was new. Maybe lots of people had come up with the idea and just not had time to set pen to paper. The fact that they are waiting until the patent expires only means they do not want to be sued.

    You are not being deprived of anything, you selected a device that will not let you install your own software then you expect apple to give you free stuff. This is madness.

    I think they only dislike it as it was intentional. I can understand why Sun did that, and in a world with no software patents I would have no problem with it.

    I have apps that require other apps to work, on my android phone. My linux desktop manages applications far more, it gets depedencies, replaces them with new stuff, etc.

    Those devices actually require you to install CA certs on your machines so that it can man in the middle the connections. SSL is not the method I would choose though.
