    On windows, try Foxit Reader. If you must stick with acrobat reader, disable all the plug-ins you don't need. They massively increase the loading time.

    That said, a cryptographically strong rng won't hurt. KeePass includes one, and is good for storing all those passwords, /dev/random is one if you just need to generate them. When they're that easy to get and use, why not use one?

    KeePass Password Safe is open source, and quite portable. I keep my database on a USB key, which is on my keychain. Anywhere I go I have my passwords AND the executables.

    Unicomp sells model Ms in a "Linux" layout: Capslock and lctrl swapped, and escape & ~ swapped.
    The keys are very easy to take out, and the keycaps themselves can be removed separately.
    The sound isn't as important as the tactile feedback, though both help when not looking at the screen (say, copying text from a written page.
    I've never had one of my M's keys gum up.

    I run a site for my rennisance faire guild to talk at and plan things. We had tons of message board spam until I implemented a simple solution: a password is required to register. If not entered, registration fails. The password is posted elsewhere on the site in my case, but you could communicate it only to people who need access if the site is small enough.

    I have a Neuros 442, not an iPod, but it's a 40GB MP3 player, and I use 27GB of it for MP3s, and generally have 2-3GB of video on it (movies/TV shows.) I may not be using all 40GB, but having a 10GB buffer allows for growth. When it finally does get full I'll simply buy a bigger laptop hard drive and put it inside. That said, I'm not a typical user. As for the iPod, the scrolling method it has is far superior to what I have. I like several of the UI features of the iPod. That said, I dislike several other limitations, & will probably buy an archos for my next player.

    Metamath is doing pretty much this, for ZFC. It's an interesting project. All 193 propositional calculus theorems from the Principia Mathematica have been proven. >8000 theorems total proven.
