  1. Are you guys spoiled? Or what! on Help Wire Remote Laos Villages · · Score: 1

I see so many here complaining how this project is useless. The Internet represents the largest library of human knowledge and experience we have. Why would you want anyone cut off from this? In my opinion, everyone should have the chance to get Internet access, to provide them the opportunity to grow. - Knowledge Is Power.

Do the math, the more people you reach, the more you will sell. (Also depends on product). And, if you are using a targeted mailing list the results will be higher. I know a spammer that lives down the street,.. trust me, they do make money. He does an average of .5% - 1% from his mailings, with a targeted list.

My favorite is creating a plasma ball in a microwave. First light match and put it under a large round glass container (make sure there is ventilation on the bottom so the fire doesn't go out) put inside of microwave, close door, turn it on and watch the fun!

  8. Re:Disney Greed on Taiwan Rejects US Copyright Extension Demands · · Score: 0

I know will probably be moderated as offtopic... Disney has alot of power down here in Florida, they even help push a law that makes it illegal for anyone to sell tickets that have unused days. Many Disney tourists can not use their all their days on their tickets so they have no choice but bear the expense by keeping it or become a criminal by selling it. The reason Disney doesn't like it is: Buying used tickets can help save a family hundreds of dollars that doesn't go back into Mickey's pockets. My opinion, it basically corporate greed.

I agree - we don't need guns. Let's rely on the nearby Police Station. We can just call 911 and stand around while someone gets raped/killed/beaten in front of us. It would be no problem since the police can respond in a mere few seconds to all emergency calls nowadays. I bet the victim (mother, father, sister, brother, anyone) would really appreciate that.
