Sure, the $600 PDA may increase my productivity $600+, but there may be a $200 PDA that could do the same thing.
This is one reason people are afraid to buy a lot of electronics. They could buy one, then in a couple days the company will do a price drop or an upgrade.
Where do bad files go when they die? They don't go to heaven where the angels fly. They go to a folder of/dev/null/ to wait, Won't see em again 'till 2038.
Really, who's going to use these things if they have DRM? The average person doesn't care a whole lot about quality (see how fast wma, vorbis, and AAC have caught on?). Throw DRM of any kind into the mix, and it just won't catch..MP3 is here to stay for awhile.
You sir should go ahead and go to your local blockbuster (or Kazaa) and rent (download) Gattaca. Human life is not something to be taken lightly, no matter how "unequipped".
The RIAA hasn't prosecuted anyone for being a customer of allofmp3. I never said they did. I said it was "as legal as p2p". I stand by that statement. Show me an instance of the RIAA successfully procecuting someone for being a customer of p2p. You can't, because they haven't. They prosecute people who are distributers. They can't prosecute the distributers in the allofmp3 case because the people there are abiding to the laws in their country. It's a loophole.
Legal in the sense of the word that using Russia's loose copyright laws as a loophole in order to get Americans to send them money for pirated songs.
The artist gets squat, the label gets squat. allofmp3.com is nothing more than street piracy over the internet. It's no more legal to download from them than it is to download from p2p.
I present to you, the song "Sheep" The second to last song in Animals, their album about the pitfalls of capitalism. Just see that the sheep [brainwashed children] being led by the dogs [**AA].
Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away; Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air. You better watch out, There may be dogs about I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen Things are not what they seem.
What do they get for pretending the danger's not real. Meek and obedient you follow the leader Down well trodden corridors into the valley of steel. What a surprise! A look of terminal shock in your eyes. Now things are really what they seem. No, this is no bad dream.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want He makes me down to lie Through pastures green He leadeth me the silent waters by. With bright knives He releaseth my soul. He maketh me to hang on hooks in high places. He converteth me to lamb cutlets, For lo, He hath great power, and great hunger. When cometh the day we lowly ones, Through quiet reflection, and great dedication Master the art of karate, Lo, we shall rise up, And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.
Bleating and babbling we fell on his neck with a scream. Wave upon wave of demented avengers March cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.
Have you heard the news? The dogs are dead! You better stay home And do as you're told. Get out of the road if you want to grow old.
Metal Gear Solid was basically a movie where you could play as the character. However it would suck major ass if you had to watch it on the big screen. For example, (I'll use an example in MGS2, cause I can't think of a quick one in the first one) in MGS2, Raiden and Snake have to go all the way around each others site of the plant defusing bombs. Imagine watching that. While it might be filled with action and such, it would be very, very boring.
If you allowed Hideo Kojima to write a new MGS script solely for the silver screen though, it would be awesome. I'd pay for the movie, the DVD, the Special Edition DVD, and the Special Edition Box Set which includes 40 hours of footage that wasn't good enough for the original.
Be glad you have CDs. Right now I'm going through the process of "Set, Record, Flip, Record, Cut, Encode, Swap".
Most of the time it's just easier to download the album with bittorrent, but when I can't find it, I have to go through this process (I can find about maybe 5% of what I have).
You know what's really bad? That's the show I watched in Economics last semester where I learned all of the information I had in my last post.
I need to learn to take better mental notes.
Nintendo isn't a favored company?
When parents are considering what videogame console to buy for their little kids, do you think they even consider the other two?
Why? Because there is no laptop that is cheaper.

You misunderstood me. I meant that despite Vorbis' (and WMA's and AAC's) higher quality, it hasn't been widely accepted by the music sharing public.
