I forget which SP I was running at the time, probably 3, but the day after the patch came out, I updated, or so I thought. It was a month later when I had to take down ZoneAlarm for a minute, that I got infected with Nachia. Oh, and the patch did show up as being installed successfully on windows update.
The application still shouldn't *crash* when it recieves garbage from Yahoo. Any network application should be able to accept garbage from the host it's connecting to without crashing. Especially an IM application in this hostile environment.
The plane that hit the pentagon also didn't have 50-70 stories to continue moving away from the crash site before being stopped by the ground. At the pentagon, any remnants of the plane would be right there.
This virus doesn't take advantage of a bug, so there is no patch. SoBig merely relies on recipients running e-mail attachments. You may be thinking of Blaster and Nachi.
In the case you describe, they would have an internally consistent value system. Whereby, they would simply not be consistent in their respect of the GPL.
So then... they would be consistently inconsistent in respecting the GPL?
I live in Rochester and work in Buffalo, and the outages there were very spotty. You would drive through one intersection and the traffic light would be fine, and the next 3 or four would be out.
I heard on the radio that 20-30% of Rochester had power, and Buffalo was slightly better off. It is this small percentage that accounts for the light that is being shown.
Cities like Toronto, Detroit, and Cleveland must have been totally out. It would be interesting to find out why the outages in my area were so inconsistent. Maybe the proximity to Niagara Falls helped us.
Imagine a beowulf cluster of... oh wait.

I don't see anything wrong with product placement. Just like I don't se eanything wrong with Coca-Cola. Ahhhh, sweet Coca-Cola.

Sure that's not a modem? Or a bridge to be more precise?
That's not Flash, that's Java. Particularly of note is the status bar of the pop-up window that says "Warning: Applet window"
Odd. I've never seen a flash-heavy interface for router admin. That would require quite a bit more flash memory...
Isn't that why it's called flash memory?
What OS are you running it on?
Clickety Click
In all honesty, verisign only FU'ed DNS, not quite BAR though.

And will we be able to make fuel cells that big?
Sad that the title to your post makes me immediately think of Eminem rather than whatever game show he took that from.
NIC Card
No, he was talking about the police in Grammer, Indiana
A hard bunch they are.

Slashdotter : Good Analogy :: Rosie O'Donnell : Attractive
So would that be a meta-bad analogy?

Just be sure to eat it quick...
And maybe they can even rival their 33% detection rate in the good old days when they bought central point!
Just watch out for the chklist.ms virus
Quick! someone post an ASCII art version!
If you get filmed going through a red light, they don't automatically disable your car.
Even though only a small percentage of Slashdot readers look at the comments
Are you saying people on slashdot actually RTFA?
Except that karma whores can't be funny anymore.
