When I was in the Army we were running a Joint Task Force with the DEA on the US/Mexico border, and we had an emergency and had no way of contacting our base. So we found some HAM operators in California and used them to contact our UNIT and send help.

Well being that I'm a contractor and not fully hired on yet and my company is trimming operations jobs I wanted to minimize shit like this. People have been getting let go for lesser stuff than this.
Where I work we have several pc's shared by our group. A few weeks ago I came in to find one of our people had put Kazaa on my workstation. Nice! I promptly unistalled it and let them know that if they want to jepordized their job fine, but don't put that on the pc I use.
Bullshit!! You are placing the responsibility of a person being honest on the employer. This person had a problem being an honest person and doing his job. If he didnt like it then leave. IMO this guy is getting exactly what he deserves.

Yes but the ability to run other than MS Office Apps may be the thing that keeps me using my Linux box more.
