  1. Re:I wouldn't hold my breath on Time To Discuss Drug Prohibition? · · Score: 1

    I disagree.

It takes more than a single use of coke, heroin, or meth for a physical addiction to set in.

Plenty of people who try drugs are not addicts.

Drugs do not rewrite brains. People have willpower. People quit nicotine, people quit heroin, it is up to the individual.

People should be allowed to do what they want to their bodies. If they want to put heroin in their bodies, so be it.

I'm for personal responsibility and I'm against the government regulating what a person can do to his own body.

Governments should protect you against harm from others and fraud. Governments should not protect you from harm to yourself from yourself.

This is a survery from the Department of Philosophy at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Philosophy was number with math/physics being number 1 for law schools. I suppose my facts were slightly off, but most people I know who major in philosophy are planning on going to law school. Neverthelesss, I have met people like your college roommate, but I feel those people exist in every major.

Do you realize that most Philosophy undergrads are pursuing law school? It is the number one degree of lawyers, because philosophy undergrads score the highest on the LSAT... What about people who major in subjects like English because they want to teach high school? The last time I checked, teaching high school required a degree.

You can get a dreamcast for 20 dollars at a pawn shop and download every dreamcast game. You don't even have to mod. Plus you can get emulators that run SNES, NEOGEO, NES, SEGA GENESIS, etc. Did, I mention you don't need a mod chip?

  5. A list for 2003 on The Best and Worst Movies of 2003? · · Score: 1

The Best: 1. The Last Samuri - The acting was amazing, the script was good, and it was one of the few three hour flicks that didn't have down time. It kept you interested. 2. Return of the King - It could tie for number one but the complete lack of Saruman disappointed me. The movie also seemed a little drawn out at times but it was an awesome movie and a great way to end the series. Steve Jackson deserves an oscar for best director. 3. Kill Bill Vol. 1 - It was great. Enough said. The Worst: Kngeroo Jack - I didn't watch it but even the trailers made me cringe. Mtrix Reloaded and Revolution - They should have never made sequals. I can't think of another terrible movie...

I don't want TV. I own a TV to watch movies which are far better than anything you find on TV. I also read a lot of books. Maybe you should pick one up sometime.
