    Europe is taking fucktons of refugees. Frankly I think SK and China could definitely handle lots of NK refugees. In the case of SK, they ever speak the same language and most of their history is shared.

    ... just grasping the nettle and invading North Korea? We seem to be just waiting for them to develop a viable nuclear ICBM. This is insane. Frankly it's worth a few 10,000s of deaths in Seoul. Not to sound too callous but in the long run reuniting Korea under Seoul rule will save WAY more lives and stabilize the region.

    I'm not even joking. Apple seem to have decided they must get their appliances as thin as a credit card. It's their hipster fashion or something.

    Looney if you ask my. I have a 1cm think LG phone and I don't want thinner. I have a normal thickness Cherry keyboard and I don't want thinner.

    Buy Apple, and you're basically supporting anorexia in the tech community.

    Yeah. The 2 main reasons I can't switch to Linux for my main box are Visual Studio and IIS - I use them in my line of work and will always be expected to run then in a Windows environment.

    I also frankly prefer aspects of Windows 7's GUI over Linux. The double clipboard thing will NEVER be a good or intuative idea for those coming from Windows and Linux really needs to implement an option to easily disable it through configuration.

    Which of course not so subtly implies there is a possibility that future updates will not be free of charge....

    I sure hope so. Maybe then I won't have to actively install a control panel to stop them forcibly downloading crap to my hard drive and nagging me constantly to switch away from my perfectly good Windows 7.

    But commit hooks can only be done on a repository level. I'd like to do them on a global level.

    Also I just think doing it in the global config is neater than setting up a hook. The hook is more code.

    So the one feature I'd love to see implemented is running interpret-trailers automatically on each commit. Git is nearly perfect for me but I would really love to be able to auto-tag the commit with trailers on each commit using settings in my global config. That way I could set it up to automatically tag the commit with the current branch name. It will probably get implemented some day...

    Consider this: the IRA used to ring ahead of time to warn people to get out because they had planted a bomb there.

    They wanted to scare people and blow shit up, sure. But they wanted to AVOID killing people (including themselves).

    There was drastically less terrorism. I can't really think of any significant Europe terrorist attacks between WW2 and the late 90s.

    Nah, I swore off wireless peripherals years ago when a workplace I was at used them and they were totally crap, interfering with each others' signal. And screw replacing batteries.

    I've never understood why docking stations aren't absolutely everywhere. They are one of the biggest reasons I keep buying Dell latitude laptops. Docking stations is permanently plugged in with all my peripherals and a power supply and I just sit down to start work.

    Well I agree but then I value 2 monitors, a proper keyboard and mouse, etc. It always amazes me how lots of people just get used to using the shitty keyboards and trackpads on laptops. If they're happy with that then I guess they don't see the need for a dock. They just need to plug the power in.
