  1. Yeah, but I don't want them razor thin either. The obsession with thinness is retarded. It just means less battery life and less ability to have decent sized ports, a removable battery, SD card, removable DIM card, etc. I'm happy with my LG G3's size and thickness.

    I guess one reason to develop these robots is "because we can". Fair enough.

    But let's not hold out hope that we can program really hot babes to love us or servile sycophants to be our willing servants. The second these robots get good enough to be very similar to humans, they will be given human rights, and programming them in a way they don't agree with will be seen as invasive as rape. Damn.

  12. The G4 was too big for me. Even the G3 barely fits in my pocket but the G4 is even bigger. It's basically a phablet.

  13. A fellow LG G3er here. It's a nice phone, and the d855 has a stable Cyanogenmod release for it now. Removable battery, expandable SD card slot (I have a 128GB expansion!). Can't see myself switching away from it for a long time.

    I do single out Islam as uniquely bad. No, you can't just replace "Muslims" with "Catholics". Catholics have a core text that can at least be invoked to "love your fellow man", "turn the other cheek", and "render to Caesar that which is Caesar's". Nor is it meant to be the perfect word of God so it can be heavily cherrypicked.

    That doesn't apply to Islam.

    Are you talking about the UK? If so, bullshit. We build 100k new houses a year. Also take a look at a satellite map of the UK. See all those big grey scars over the green area? That's fucking huge towns and cities that are rapidly expanding. Believe it or not, some people value having a countryside rather than covering all the land in fugly concrete jungles like London.

    I've had quite a few people ask me about this new Windows 10 they're hearing about, and I proceed to show them chapter/verse of just how insidious it is.

    I explained that to my brother too. He agreed with it, and I offered to install a new SSD in his slow laptop and reinstall Windows 7 on that. A few weeks later he went out and bought a new laptop with Windows 10 on it. I think we're screwed.

    I now have his old laptop with a new SSD and a fresh Windows 7 install. Runs fine.

  25. Disabled auto-updates and uninstalled the Win10 ones months ago. My system isn't nagging me about Windows 10.
