Acutally I'm thinking of the ranch owners that have been leaving the land as is for over a hundred years and are now being bought out by Ted and the ones that aren't are having to pay higher taxes because of him buying out land near them.
As for restoring "bio-reserves", is that what you call trying market buffalo meat, failing miserably, and getting yourself susidized by the fedral gov't.

Do you really think the apps you need to run a server result in "an rpm dependancy nightmare?" You may have rpm dependancy problems with your favorite desktop apps but for the server side Redhat ES runs fine with rpms readily available that install in a second.
Just read the man pages. Amazing how down to earth and straightforward things can be if there's a group focus on simplicity. Everything is laid out in plain English. Setting up my OpenBSD box as a DHCP server took less time than doing the same thing using the GUI on my Linksys wireless AP. That's including reading the man page.
I served 8 years at Camp Pendleton CA and never saw anything like this. Of course the Marine Corps isn't really into high tech:)
Now I did laugh every time there was a ceremony on base with a 21 gun salute and car alarms would go off left and right.
Picked up my backpack out of the trunk of my car and slung the brand new $2400 Powerbook onto the pavement. Screen was weird afterwards, lid wouldn't latch but otherwise fine and usable.
Called my insurance company and the repair was covered by my homeowner's insurance:)
Maybe a couple of people in the gov't. The gov't is HUGE and full of all sorts of different people. Basically a microcosm of the American public, really.
