Mathematical formulas indicate an understanding of such laws, so without that understanding, your cell phone wouldn't work.
I believe there are quite a few inventions that have been stumbled upon without any understanding about mathematical formulas whatsoever. Amazing what can be accomplished with the old trial and error method =)
Would you mind telling what your problems with the Ti4200 were? I have one and am using it in Linux, TV out and all and it was very easy to install. From what I've heard in the community you must be very lucky not to have problems with an ATI card.
I would be happy to buy an ATI card as they are cheaper and (from what I hear) run cooler than nVidia cards. But I won't go near one unless I am sure I can play Unreal Tournament and Enemy Territory in Linux with it.
Gigli wins this title hands down. It' just horrible but not horrible enough to be funny in a Plan 9 kind of way. Worst way to spend 2 hours and pay for it, too, Gigli is.
You are quite correct. If this article is true, how come PalmOne had a pretty good year again?
Here's a quote from the PalmOne website:
Revenue Up 23%; Operating Margin 6.0%
Very short quote but I think it sums it up pretty nicely. Funnily enough that's exactly the same kind of info as digital camera companies are giving out. Most people are buying digital cameras instead of non-digital ones these days and it shows in the numbers.
And yes I'm a PDA freak and yeah, I got a heavy gadget fetish. Without fetishes life would be dull.
And in the meantime, 2.4 series seem to work very well. If it ain't broke... For real, why risk your production machine with an experimental/unstable kernel unless you really, REALLY need to?
I just finished installing a webserver and it doesn't seem to suffer from having a 2.4-series kernel. Maybe it would be COOLER with a 2.6 but I somehow doubt it. Then again, some people like to rice their cars, too...
It won't take a lot of time, not with your system specs. We're talking about 30min tops. Depends a lot on what kind of modules etc you need to make.
If you've never done it, though, you may want to a) ask someone who knows this stuff for help or/and b) read a few docs on the subject. If you don't know what you're doing, you most probably will end up with something missing, stuff like soundcard support or something. A good place to start (in my biased opinion ofcourse) would be here for instance Some googling never hurts, either.
How come I never saw this before. Michael Jackson owns rights to quite a few recordings, eh? Michael Jackson gets arrested and... Well, you can fill out the conspiracy theory yourself. South America, I think, what about you?
My personal favorite is ID4 where they infect the alien mother computer with a virus. Remember the movie? Don't know what they been smoking when they wrote the script but it musta been one helluva trip.
"Aliens won't be using the same operating system we do, you know"
"That's allright, they'll probably have MacOS, then"
I'm not sure your car tires will like hitting, say, a pointed rock at 60 MPH even if it is smaller than a watermelon. You will have to be REALLY careful about what you toss out.
So if you want your house not to be photographed (I know, my grammar sucks) all you have to do is make your shithouse visible to the street? Or do you have to actually be there when they're taking the pictures, too?
There's a few differences, though. One of them is that just as it is with oil, uranium, too, will eventually run out. It is not a renewable source of energy like the algae would be. Now if it were fusion... But it's not.
Another difference is, ofcourse, that you really can't produce energy in the middle of nowhere like you can with oil. The longer lines you have for electricity the more of it is wasted during transportation (if that is the word I am looking for).
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for nukelar power, but it's gotta be done right. And in my opinion the right way is to develop fusion asap. Fission can be used (and is used at least in here) without more environmental risks than in, say, transporting huge tankerfuls of oil but it's not a solution I want to live with for the rest of our lives.
I don't see myself playing a game where I'd sit around for hours waiting for something to happen.
Oh wait, I played Everquest and that was mostly camping. You got a point, although I don't really know what it is...
Hmm... Opera. Let's see
Horrible plot, check
Silly costumes, check
Villains with insane egoes, agendas and manners, check
Ok, so it doesn't have a fat lady who sings (I hope) but that's about the only difference.

Aye matey, no worries. G'day.
...what do you think of a person who only does the bare minimum?

It may be that linux would have d3d emulation if it wasnt for id :-)
That's another reason to like id I think
I predict it'll be a long time before Christmas arrives, then
We've already seen the ads about happy people moving away from MacOS so it's not like it'd even be anything new.
;)
They should make it "Services TRULY for Unix"
Iraq is anti-US. They code Linux stuff in Iraq. Ergo, Linux is anti-US. Bomb Linux!
...my tinfoil hat is more than adequate
Ok, I'll bite

Ah yes, but the Gideons only donate the bibles, the hotel owner gets to haul it up there.
...unless, ofcourse, they were smart enough to just put them in there before it gets hauled into orbit.

For quite a bunch of movie nitpicking...

Talk about adding a whole new level to the Goatse experience!

Would you have preferred "respect the environment they will" or perhaps "are to be introducink before end of 2005" ?

For night combat you want the rectal silencer/biogas power generator combo. Stealth and free power in the same package
