I think both Apple and Beats realize that Beats Music in its current iteration is not as successful as they want it to be. Last night's interview for Code Conference seemed to indicate this. Perhaps they think they'll likely be more successful if they work together on a new version. I for one don't think they'll hit a home run. I don't know that they have a vision of something that much different than the current iteration of music apps & services.

I mentioned this exact feature request to several Apple reps at Macworld, 2 Macworld's ago. The ability to have the iPod display the screen upside down and thus reverse the controls of the ipod.... it makes the iPod easier to hold and your thumb does not get in the way.
Maybe I should just keep these silly ideas to myself and patent them? If only I had thousands of dollars to patent things that seem obvious to me.
have you people never flown in coach class on a plane? hold your 2" ipod up and compare the size of the screen to the relative size of the closest airplane video screen. chances are the sizes are comparable if you're sitting more then 2 rows away from the plane screen.... and yet you don't complain about the size of that?
the next time you're on an airplane, hold your ipod up at arms length and compare it to the relative size of the closest screen on the plane. unless you're sitting right under the thing, chances are that the ipod's screen size will be very similar to the planes.
