In addition to the other issues noted in this part of the thread, power consumption, having to have Bluetooth enabled before starting the session that depends on the auth, remembering to disable Bluetooth after it's done.
I'd rather type a six-digit code. And, frankly, I'd rather have a physical token for the most-used applications. I do not like having to find my phone, hope it's charged, unlock it, navigate to the app or notification, then do whatever else is needed to finish the process.
For someone with severe mobility issues, this might be better than typing a code. For me, it's not.
Even if true, $10K is not nearly enough to get me to uproot myself and my spouse, pay _more_ for housing than I do now, and put up with harsher winters. Two orders of magnitude more would be a _start_.
I was in the studio audience for an episode of Third Rock from the Sun. The producer who did our warm-up told us that, at the time, it was the only show in production with a laugh track that did not augment the result in post.
Our laughter didn't meet expectations for one scene's first take, so they did another after coaching us.
It may not be much, but Substantially Equal Periodic Payments (SEPP) are a way to pull some from 401(k)/Traditional IRA ahead of 59.5 without incurring early withdrawal penalties.
Where did I say that gun manufacturers have sovereign immunity?
If you believe that the sole purpose of guns is to cause death, then surely believe the same of bows and arrows, darts, boomerangs, slingshots, javelins, fencing foils. . . .
Yes, one can sue, but to hold them truly accountable is much more difficult, in part because sovereign immunity is too much of a thing.
Gun manufacturers are not the cause of gun violence. Suing them is as meaningful as suing car manufacturers over people who willfully drive into crowds, or any other tool maker whose products are used to harm.
Holding members of law enforcement (and members of government who employ them) personally accountable for their misconduct is a better place to start.
When has speaking on public record to Congress prevented an appointee from acting the way they always wanted to?
From http://www.haciendapub.com/ran..., both Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor, during their confirmation hearings, agreed that District of Columbia v. Heller affirmed that the Second Amendment guarantees individual rights, then voted to attack those rights in McDonald v. Chicago.
. . . to have the _option_ to get them, that is. With a non-factory OS on the Sprint network (via Ting), I never get voicemail notifications, because they depend on Visual Voicemail for smartphones. They don't offer the app in a usable form, plus it requires data access.
I want my phone to receive the same kind of VM notification that a feature phone would. And then have the option to turn it _off_.
When I used PalmOS, I used DateBk3/4 from Pimlico Software. The author has kept up with the times and has a feature-rich product for Android: http://www.pimlicosoftware.com...

Ban reproduction by anyone with an inheritable disease. (Source: Larry Niven's _A World out of Time_)
Make abortion legal and available on demand, worldwide.
Equality now, everywhere, so women have control of their bodies.
The population will fall to a more manageable level after these are in effect.

Another for the automotive facts: Preston Tucker.
Read Frank Herbert's _The White Plague_ and tell me you still think that's a good idea, AC.

You've pretty much described questing in WoW.

My Casio solar has been on the original battery since I bought it in 2009. This watch also sets itself daily from WWV.
I see no need for an expensive watch that runs at best a few days between charges. I already have a phone that's like that.
Subby, were you dropping so many names to drive searches to this article?
Ancient Egyptian isn't the only language to use pictographic writing.
Is your vitriol also directed at Chinese?

Or someone could write about an engineered plague destroying room-temperature superconductors.
(Larry Niven did it.)
Oops.
These, however, do not lead to the pop-up, while non-Apple apps do.

This one should be modded +infinity.

Written by Rudy Clark, first recorded by James Ray in 1962, further popularized by George Harrison in 1987.
It's very repetitive.
What's old is new.
There was a story on public radio (haven't yet found it again) a few years ago about the simplicity of pop songs reflecting the mood of society.
