    Checkout at Aldi is a breeze. The checkers are lightning fast.

    There's no need for self checkout, or machine vision, or any other bells or whistles.

    While a body heat-powered watch is nifty, mine is niftier.

    Yes to the S3. Bought it two years ago, when it was about three years old. Have been running CyanogenMod 12 (Lollipop), then LineageOS 14.1 (Nougat).

    It runs fine and is up-to-date with a week-old build.

    If someone made a solid Android build for a Windows phone, I'd at least consider it for a backup.

    My Touchpad runs KitKat. . . .

    Plus all the TV shows they did, over the past seven decades or so.

    But better if they'd just make a new deal with Netflix.

    I don't see paying for yet another streaming service.

    I've been running it since the repositories were available, as a direct changeout from Debian via sources.list. It's stable and maintained well.

    Regardless of the hyperbole, as has been argued elsewhere in the thread, if they have money to spend on lobbying in order to entrench their strong positions, then there isn't enough competition.

    Since I try to control my phone (Android running Cyanogenmod), they didn't want my business, making it impossible to play even with sideloading.

    Didn't feel like jumping through hoops to hide root.

    . . . and I won't go back.

    Superior service and lower cost are why I went with Ting. Leaving VM was a big hassle, too, as they didn't appear to have their people (few of whom were anywhere near my time zone) trained properly.

    Still with Ting, who doesn't care which device I use.

    If you mean Esperanto, then yes. It would be a better choice than French for ease of learning, especially when it comes to pronunciation.
