    Cut them some slack, they're working harder than anyone for Linux on the desktop!

    Last I checked, the most important factor in the cancer statistics was smoking (as the summary references, lung cancer). It is also a huge factor in longevity statistics, as smokers die younger (and it's not entirely clear that lung cancer is worse than emphysema). Be aware of that when people say, "country X does better at healthcare because people live longer." If they haven't adjusted for smoking rates, then they are spreading propaganda, not knowledge.

    There are lots of production EVs on the road, and more coming out all the time. A new superfast non-production 0-60 car.... who cars?

    It looks nice and has good range. If the price is good, I would consider getting one.

    Woz was a great engineer, but Apple doesn't make their name through great engineering.

    They did for quite a while, they brought in the whole team from Next who wrote solid software from the ground up. Every release was a clear improvement over its predecessor. Their actual engineering was good too: coming up with the unibody frame for the laptop, for example. The Macbook air was years ahead of the competition in form factor (although others are finally catching up).

    Back around 2010 I started noticing a decline in quality of the lower level APIs and such. I suppose a bunch of old Next guys were multi-millionaires at that point and decided to retire. The quality drop moved up to tools like Xcode, and now there are obvious problems on the front side.

    This is anecdotal, but I've never used an LG product that worked well. From their washing machines to their phones, there was always something wonky.

    Why? How could it possibly make sense to "warm" the buoy data rather than "cool" the intake data? We know that the intake data was artificially warmed, that isn't even a question.

    at least intentionally skewed toward "raising awareness". Various researchers have admitted that in emails that leaked or other documents over and over again, a few publicly and openly.

    330,000x faster than all previous known trends it's nothing like previous trends.

    No, check out this graph, which contains historical temperature reconstructions. You'll find other spots in (relatively recent) history where the speed of the change is quite rapid.

  15. Their layout is good, If that is the exact layout you want, and don't want bold or different sized fonts or different fonts, or even different colors; or any thing else that might come from having an ounce of creativity in design.

    My new hypothesis is that democracy isn't focused on getting a good leader, its purpose is to make it easy to get rid of a bad leader without a bloody revolution. That is the main benefit of democracy.
