If the line's only used by a security system, then why is there a phone plugged in? If you unplug the phone, you won't even hear the incoming calls (I'm assuming the US phone system works the same way as the NZ one).
How is this different from most games? With the vast majority of games out there, both the Windows and Mac versions get updated whenever a patch is released. The only difference I can see is that with an online game, both updates will need to be released at the same time.
Wow, I'm happy with my current ISP then! From their FAQ:
Can I run my own webserver on my paradise.net High Speed service?
You can run a webserver on a paradise.net cable or DSL connection. We provide a static IP for every cable connection and will provide one for a DSL connection on request.
I went to Indonesia a few years ago, and you could pick up pirated movies for around $1 each. In order to compete, the studios offered licenced movies for about $5 each.

An OS X upgrade costs US$129. I don't know what the US prices for Windows are like, but here in NZ it's cheaper to buy OS X than it is to buy XP Home. However, most people believe that OS X vs XP Pro is a better comparison.

According to Blizzard, the 10.3.7 update helps, but a forthcoming WoW patch will make it run even better.
I think a stargate made from Lego is much more impressive.
According to the UCC, the 416 million is 293 USD, not 293 million.

Genuine Microsoft software offers you greater reliability
Does it? A pirated copy of Windows still has exactly the same code as a genuine one. How can MS say that genuine software is more reliable?

5 MB down and 2 MB up isn't very much - I get 10 GB (both ways) with my DSL connection. I hope that this was a typo!
And fast user switching!

I use OS X so that I don't have to know stuff like that :p
Ah, I didn't realise that it tied into the kernel.
Can't you compile Fuse on OS X? I'm no expert, but most Linux apps simply need a recompile and they'll work.
