I'm in total agreement with you, but I want to take it to the extreme. I think it's time we shut down Facebook and hang Zuckerberg by the neck until he's dead (oh, we'd have a "trial" first!). The country would be much better off without either.
Automatic transmissions were invented for non-drivers. Everyone should have to use a manual transmission equipped car to pass their driving test.
My next vehicle purchase will be a pickup truck with a manual transmission. With so few people out there who know how to drive one, nobody will be asking to borrow it.
It's just one more step in the wrong direction. The country will not fall overnight. It's going to be a long, drawn-out process, but the closer we get to the end, the faster events will happen. We already have a central government that is way too strong and is drunk on its power. Soon it will be impossible to stop the move to totalitarianism. We may already have passed the point of no return.
I'm 63 years old. I remember what the country was just a few decades ago, and I've studied enough history to understand where we're headed. It's not going to be pretty and I guarantee that nobody will like it.
Vote in November. It won't make any difference which way you vote.
That's why everyone should be for the Fair Tax. It's not like all the other "flat tax" plans!!! The prebates cover all of what a poor person would be paying in taxes on necessities. Everybody gets the prebate, from the poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich. Read about it and you'll love it.

We still have good news outlets today. The trick is to get your news from as many sources as you can find because each one will be slightly biased. Bias isn't always obvious. It can be as subtle as not reporting a story at all. If you just have one source you rely on, you may not even hear about major stories! Read the news from right and left perspectives, and everything in between. There are no unbiased news sources. Never have been.
Today we can hear about a bad traffic accident or a murder on the other side of the country. When I was young only the major events made the news. There simply wasn't time. Local news was 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of national news. There was no CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, or internet. Even newspapers and radio didn't cover everything.
What we lack is history. Is it even taught in schools now? Without a knowledge of what has happened before, you don't have a context for what's going on now. Uneducated people getting their news from Facebook or Comedy Central scares the shit out of me. They vote, and they're uninformed voters. No wonder we get crappy leaders like Bush and Obama!
It takes tons of money to research and develop a drug. If a company can't recoup that investment by selling the drug, there's no incentive to develop it in the first place.
Only the government (you know, the only entity that can print money out of thin air) can invest money with no hope of a return on that investment. Everybody else lives in the real world.

I can't really feel sorry for the ones who do lose their photos. They take photos with a crappy cell phone camera and then Facebook compresses the hell out of them. What? You didn't save them somewhere else? Tough. Even if you save them from Facebook, all you have is tiny little files that are masquerading as photos.
My bother's two daughters, both college educated, are like that. They never back up the photos from their phones. They just depend on Facebook. The photos look okay on a phone, not so much on a 24" monitor. And forget about printing them.
What Constitution? They shredded that a long time ago. Politicians know history. Perhaps it's time for the people to learn. Bread and circuses. EBT and American Idol. Works every time.
We're almost to the point of no return, but we can win if we don't let them divide us.
Now that Google is in the political game, there's no reason to believe that Google doesn't lie, too. "There's no evidence" is clearly a lie of the first order. Hey, they're pretty good at it! Just like Bill and Hillary, they've learned to deny, deny, deny.

When I leave the house I have location service, bluetooth, and wifi turned off and when I am home, only wifi is turned on. Battery life is fantastic!
