    Pass the Fair Tax at the Federal and state levels, and never pay income taxes again. It's drop dead simple and it even taxes the criminals. No favors, no loopholes, no cheating, and no tax returns!

    As far as I can tell, only the government is against it. It removes too much of their power.

    Or the manufacturers could have used the fillers simply to save money. The real ingredients may not be cheap. It doesn't necessarily mean they don't believe the real supplements don't work.

    I take several supplements and know for a fact that they do work - turmeric (as an anti-inflammatory, tart cherry extract (for gout), probiotics (for IBS), apple cider vinegar, and fiber (again for IBS). I buy from reputable companies that don't sell through Walmart, Walgreens, or GNC. Avoid those stores like the plague.

    Let's call it what it really is - bullying and child abuse. If we don't stop these zero-tolerance, we'll lose a whole generation and maybe two. The country may never recover from it.

    The government likes it because it trains the younger generation to accept tyranny. Get 'em used to following stupid laws and rules when they're young, and you've got 'em for life.

    Just say NO to zero-tolerance policies.

    I pay Charter about 55 bucks a month for 60 down/5 up, and usually get over 64 Mbps downstream. Sure, 5 Mbps may be fine for ONE person using it, but if you have people over as guests, you want to have something a little bit faster than that.

    I'm in favor of redefining broadband because I travel a lot. I'm stuck in a motel right now that has free "broadband" wifi. Right now I'm one of only a few guests. I'm lucky to get 1 Mbps downstream. It's also Charter, but I can't figure out why it's so damned slow. Business internet from Charter in this city is 100 Mbps. Surely the motel is not slowing it down on purpose.

    You're absolutely right. And this is coming from a man whose late wife was a police officer. I love the police (for the most part), but they have no right of privacy any more than we do when they're out in public. We should not only know where they are, we should be able to video them doing their jobs. They work for us.

    My wife and I used to argue about revenue from tickets. She always said they write tickets for public safety. I always said let them put their money where their mouth is and give all the money to the state. No dice - they want the money.

    I'd like to see you haul a 4'x8' of plywood home in that 4-door sedan. Yeah, I know everybody doesn't haul plywood in their truck, but I do haul a LOT of stuff you simply can't put in a car.

    I have gout, caused by excess uric acid in the bloodstream. Uric acid is formed from the purines we eat. Purines come from the DNA in cells of plants and animals. It would be nice if food products listed the amount of purine.

    I know that lowering my intake of purines won't completely cure gout, but it would be nice to lower the risk of flareups.

    But my fucking bank allows only letters (caps or lowercase) and numbers. No punctuation or symbols are allowed. And they limit me to 10 characters! Some security, huh?

    I ought to change my bank password to something like "yourbanksucks", but that's too many letters.

    We've had intellectuals as President, including the man holding the office now. Judging by their records, I'm about ready for the random person from the phone book. Couldn't do any worse.

    I'm looking at the potential candidates from both parties, and I don't like (or trust) any of them. Surely we can do better.

    The ones responsible for watching the politicians are the press, and they've shown that they're not objective and can't be trusted. It's obvious even to a casual observer whose side they've been on for the past few decades.
