We have a winner! The 0.5 Pilot G2 pens are all I use nowadays. Sometimes on some reports I use the finer one, but they are harder to write with when you're in a hurry.
Seriously, though, having children and seeing them grow up and have children of their own is one of life's greatest pleasures. Until you have grandchildren you don't really know what true happiness is. You can fool yourself with money or meditation or work, but you're so clueless it's pathetic.
Life is full of ups and downs, and the hard times make the happy times even better. If it never rains, can you truly appreciate a sunny day?
Bullshit. I've been stopped for going 72 mph in a 70 zone. I didn't get a ticket, but I was pulled over and delayed.
Of course, you most likely have not driven the two million miles I have driven. Amateur!!
Without profit there would be no more investment in the research to make "wonder drugs" possible. Do you think that research is free? Do you think all the testing of a drug to get FDA approval is free? Do you think people in the pharmaceutical industry should work for free? Do you think that shareholders (the ones who actually OWN the company) are not entitled to a return on their investment? Do you know how much money is spent developing drugs that never get approved and never make it to market?
You need to learn about how business operates in the real world.
First of all these people ARE paying taxes...just not income tax. They pay payroll taxes, often sales taxes, often property taxes etc. And so are the people who are ALSO paying income tax. So what's your point? Everybody benefits so everybody pays something.
I don't mind paying taxes to help somebody in need, but I draw the line when it comes to supporting them for their whole life. Hand up, not hand out.
Is the voice of the average person being ignored, or is the average person just not speaking out? I think it's the latter. The average person is not getting involved. As long as their bellies are full and they're being entertained, they don't care. Bread and circuses all over again.
The opposite of "luxury" is "necessity", not "right".
A "right" is something you're born with simply by being human. It can't cost somebody else to provide you with something, because then your "right" is infringing on their rights -- in other words you're demanding part of their life be given to you.
Yes, having internet access is a necessity for an increasing number of people, but that doesn't make it a right.
but that scenario reads like one of the circles of Hell from Dante's Inferno. I'm for technology making life easier, but not at the expense of freedom. Of course it's up to us to decide whether or not we want totalitarianism. Seems that all government sees in new technology is new ways to control the population.
No, poverty is a choice. There's no shame in being poor, but it should be extremely shameful to stay poor. Opportunity is everywhere if you're not too lazy to grab it. The key is education, and anybody who wants to learn will find a way no matter their circumstances.
If you divided all the money in the country evenly amongst all the people, in a year or two you'd have rich people and poor people. That's human nature and nobody can change it.
You may be right. I wonder if our economy is being crippled on purpose to force us to lower carbon emissions. I bet it looks that way to the coal industry.
All ramps are legally required to be of a sufficient length for any properly maintained car to reach merging speed.
Oh, really? Check out the onramp from Alabama Hwy 25 to northbound I-65. You either accelerate quickly to merging speed or you hit a bridge. Even a fast car has trouble merging onto the interstate there, and many slower cars have met the bridge.
That's just one of dozens I could tell you about. Get out and drive somewhere. Remember, what's mandated by law and what actually gets built are two very different things.
I agree about the supposed danger from second-hand smoke. Everybody just takes it for granted now because of the anti-smoking propaganda, but if you really take a close look at the studies, you'll find that we've been lied to in a big way.
It's not just a ban on employees smoking on their own time. It's a ban on employees using tobacco in any form. That's what makes it unreasonable. No allowance is made for employees who use oral tobacco like snus.
Even Sweden (the epitome of the nanny state) can't find any great harm in using snus, but our little busy-body local politicians and ignorant businessmen want to ban it.
The anti-smoking nazis went from no smoking to no tobacco and will eventually wind up being against nicotine in any form. That's why it we've always called it a slippery slope. We knew that they would never be satisfied with simple smoking bans. What they want to ban next is anybody's guess.
Y'all think it's bad now. Wait until we have a single-payer system for our health care. ANYTHING can be risky for your health. Your freedoms will go bye bye.
Many would say that working for DHS would be working for the enemy. They are quite good at terrorizing U.S. citizens.

Meditation is a poor substitute for sex.

Actually the Alabama Tea Party was holding annual meetings starting in August 2003 hosted by Russ and Dee Fine, morning talk show hosts on WYDE.
But you're right about the membership of the Tea Party. They are Republican, Democrat, Independent, black, white, Hispanic, etc. etc.etc..
Except he couldn't delete the photos. It was a film camera. He would have explained that to them, but they didn't give him the chance.
A very clumsy 69?
For somebody who is supposedly so smart, Richard Dawkins can really show his stupidity sometimes. He seems to educated beyond his intelligence.
Watch "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" to see how an intelligent man interviews little Dickie Dawkins.
It sounds like he's comparing Mann to Paterno, not to Sandusky.
no cop stops you for 5 over

It's a shame he didn't invent a method for humans to be recharged.
I guess that's why the party of hate (Republicans) gives much more to charity than that other party.
Just pointing out the facts. Can you handle the truth?
Tall meridian? Was he from Meridia? I thought people from Meridia were very short.
Where I live we have medians, though some people insist on calling them "mediums".
What far more people need to understand is that the American (or Australian) government is a democracy.
No, the American government is NOT a democracy, and was never meant to be one.

We learned how to use a slide rule!
Yes, really. Get a clue. Do you even know the difference between a profit margin and profit?
