This is why unemployment insurance is a great thing. I have libertarian friends who are against it. But once you have been through something like this it really makes you realize how useful to society it is. You are far more useful to the country at your new job (that you needed financial support to get) than making minimum wage or working for tips as a delivery guy.
Minimum wage pays more than what those people you know get paid in unemployment insurance. Not only that but they would have to LIE each time in order to get paid. The insurance is based on your previous income and how long you worked there. But it isn't much and you'll only get six months or so of it. Your friends are idiots for not taking (almost) ANY job offered to them.
Not sure where that list came from the but trademark is a "rectangle with a filigree border and the stylized wording "JACK DANIEL'S TENNESSEE SOUR MASH WHISKEY". The wording "OLD NO. 7 BRAND" appears in an oval shaped design in the center with a filigree appearing around the border."
I've seen all kinds of American protestors but they are generally looked down upon. The masses tell them they are protesting wrong or that they aren't sanitary enough.
The reason the webapp needs access beyond the webpage is so that is can become an "app" and not just a web page. For example, you can install a webapp that integrates into your systray or taskbar or right-click context menus. If you never want your apps to exist outside of your browser then you can simply use web sites and bypass the whole idea of webapps.
The WebApps can be platform-independent but something has to sit on linux to handle the api calls. THAT part (unless it is also written in something platform independent) must be platform-dependent.
In linux they could always make a file that could fit the whole install plus some head room, make it into whatever native fs (fat32) the game was made for, mount it, and install away.
I agree with you. This seems to be where a lot of gamers are divided between console and pc. The gamers who want an "it just works" type of appliance go for console.
PC Games will always keep the computer popular in the home. Also, no, you can't play things like DayZ, LOL, EVE, and many others on a console or phone. Not that console or phone gaming is bad, because it's great. Just that there are a few areas where PC gaming cannot be beat. Like MMOs, RTS, and games needing 30 keys to even play.
My history is sketch but didn't the British have very tight controls on colonial trade? As in, they could only trade with GB unless it was approved by an official. Also, all trade out of the Americas could only be in raw materials, no constructed goods. Trade into America was in high end goods. This way the British commanded high prices for their goods and low prices for what they bought.
That kind of relationship is probably why there was ip infringement. But i don't remember the colonies exporting counterfeit British products in any large quantity. I'm talking pre-Rev though.
Post Revolution i'm sure people were like, "fuck those guys". That kind of feeling wore off though. Americans have short memories : P
It isn't that simple. Did the charity work remove long-term local options to guarantee their dependence on external supply? If yes, then the charity did long-term damage that greatly offsets their present work.
Adding strings has nothing to do with math unless you overload the operator to perform math functions. If you are indeed using a class that performs math on strings then open it up and look. You'd have to do the exact same thing if it was a.add(string x) method.
Ditto for the seat-belt beeper : ) I wear it on the highway but not when going 25mph down the road to the snack shop (or during any parking maneuvers).
Cherry picked.
Here's a picture of a tablet i owned years before the ipad was released: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/tibman/VisionPlate/DSCN0919.jpg
Rounded corners.. squarish shape.

You can see a picture of it here: http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=85129461
Which looks really close to the book: https://mashable.com/2012/07/22/jack-daniels-trademark-letter/ (you can see them side-by-side)
It does look like an attempt to capitalize on jack daniel's brand recognition.
Damn, that is so true.
It isn't paywalled for me either.
It's probably what they are actually doing.

You mean like the US Army/Marine Corps? I've heard they are decent shots.

Yeah, what was up with that? They need to make sharper collar stays for situations just like this.
I still have and use my LJ. Not because i like vintage pants or social media.. but because i still like it : )

Isn't it a superset?

The only thing i look for is what efficiency the power supply is rated at. 80+silver is usually easy to get: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_PLUS
Very cool. I would have modded but already commented.

You could always use LiveJournal.. the creator of openid.
