I caught the end of a segment on a news show explaining the stats on how many Tivo (I think) users had paused/replayed a certain item during the superbowl, including how many times they had replayed it.
I didn't realize the PVR sent this sort of infomation back to the mother ship.
Cool, and unlike that stupid geostationary space elevator crap, the ISS moves a lot (a real lot).
Instead of tying the ground end of the wire to something stationary, you could attach a big heavy ball, That way, whenever the ball came rolling by, anybody could send something up to the ISS.
His complaint is primarily that the EULA says he needs to "read all of the software license
agreements that came with each program that you ordered".
He didn't receive any, or if he did, it was inside a shrink wrap that he couldn't open (without agreeing first).
Similarly, DELL would not provide them via other means.
Yes and this is the stuff that I find most annoying, sites that just link to others.
The worst case is 'affiliate' sites which add little value and just give me another link to the real provider. It's annoying enough for me to retype the URL to remove their affilliate tag and ensure they get no credit.
I see the morons are out in force today.
Obviously if your are too stupid to type "Prisoner Dilemna" into Google, to find out what the comment is referring to, you don't have a chance of understanding the logic behind it.
Well I've seen lots of dupe articles, but a dupe comment (although I notice you removed the opening paragraph that made you sound really stupid).
I guess you didn't get enough responses to your Communism troll that time.
This may be complete ignorance of the patent system, but if I had patented the lighbulb, shouldn't I expect to get royalties from the manufacturers, not the end user? (althought the manufacturer will pass the cost to the end user).
Since most web sites use Real media or MS streaming servers, not their own home built ones, aren't REAL and MS the people infringing on the patent?
Do domain names really matter that much if you are not a mega-corporation?
I don't remember the last time I actually typed in a URL hoping it would land me where I wanted to go. I either have a bookmark, a link on another page or more commonly, I use GOOGLE.
Sure it's nice to have a domain name that has your companies initials, but is that really how most people find you?
Don't you mean shooting somebody with an unloaded gun? - oh wait.
Mandrake 9.2 is quite happpy with the SATA drive in my DELL.

Subscribe to the xplane-tech list at yahoo and see what his customers really think.
X-Plane v7.0beta has both aircraft (apparently Scaled Composites used it for their simulator)

"We're seeing crazy uptime numbers now, like three months, six months" - Jeff Stucky - senior systems engineer on the Microsoft.com operations team.
Crazy!
This is one way that you can guarantee sucessful targeting by the missile defense system.
When you see incomming missiles, you quickly build a railway up to the missiles and crash big nasty trains into them.
Oh look, it's another one.
I'll write it slowly this time, so you can follow....
Type "Prisoner Dilemna" into Google and educate yourself.
