I find it sad and hilarious at the same time that you say you are "groupthink incompatible" yet you go on with the same stupid jokes and commentary that 99,9% of slashbots put out. Why don't you embrace your slashbotness instead of living in a dreamworld, thinking you are a beautiful, unique snowflake? Or change your .sig, perhaps, instead?

Well, it would have to be about 650Mb, or a CD's worth of data. I'm sure that nobody is going to miss less than a gigabyte of space in today's hard disks.

Outside the ten people in slashdot who actually have Linux installed in their slashdot just for the sake of it, no one gives a shit about Xbox Linux except, that is, for the mod chip manufacturers who found an excellent argument for saying the modchip has uses other than playing pirate games.

I think the AC is trolling you but I think you're stretching reality a bit when you claim that Macs have "quality over quantity". No, they don't. Most A list games never make it to the Mac, full stop. You might claim that Macs have some decent games and you'd be right, but PCs have everything Macs have and lots, LOTS more.

I agree with you 100% - in fact, although I find time to play games for at least an hour a day and I own all three major consoles and a fast enough PC, the games you mentioned are EXACTLY the ones I enjoyed the most last year. They are actually the only three I liked enough to stick with and actually finish. I am certainly looking forward to the next PoP.

Apple has 3% of the global home PC market while Nintendo has close to 20% of the global console market and 95% of the global handheld console market. Also, "over a grand"? You must be dreaming. Actually, if it were not for the iPod, Apple would have posted a loss last quarter.

  16. Re:Great. on Arrest in Caridi FBI Investigation · · Score: 1

It is not a label. The fact that people are incarcerated to be "corrected" and not to be "punished" is a basic foundation of modern societies. I do agree with you that this foundation has been trampled upon. Especially in countries like the US (that allow capital punishment), it is impossible to make rational arguments that you are being given a second chance in prison. A state that kills its citizens obviously does not believe in prison as rehabilitation.

I'll give you a hint: there's a reason it's called a "corrective" facility. The common perception is wrong. It does not matter if 99% of citizens think it is correct, it continues to be wrong.

I do apologise for saying you are pirating movies but, to be frank, a discussion with someone who finds it easier to make insulting remarks rather than relevant and thoughtful comments does not interest me. Than again, this is slashdot.
