    Let see also knowing you own the ground, so start earthquakes. Anybody remember DR-DOS? M$ put code in to target it specifically, and keep it from running. They said it was debug code accidentally left in, but it killed Digital Research. WordPerfect and WP wars: M$ uses undocumented OS calls to improve benchmarks. WordPerfect uses some, M$ changes the functionality of THOSE calls to crash WordPerfect. M$ claims "These are not documented uses of these calls and are subject to change." The same was done to Lotus 123, and dBase. They eventually bought Fox to crush it. Ancient history: Bill Gates went to user groups and took ideas from group and added them to his products. He was a capitalist amongst communists.

    That is why we should all support the NRA. Vote out anyone who would disarm you. They know it is easier to rule over unarmed subjects, than to represent armed citizens. Other point, some accounting is done by accrual system. If you worked for a dotcom, and got stock options, you may have run into this. Your gains are based on the stock price on end of year. You have to pay taxes on those gains, even if you don't sell. There was a heartbreaking story of a guy who worked for 3years for a net minus 100k. They company folded before he was completely vested and could sell any stock.

        I like to play with my toys, but somethings are dangerous.
    The storage requirements are to keep it from being used without your authorization.
    They may also need to do an inventory. Would you want them to be aware if say,
    5000 pounds disappeared. Some group robbed everyone in the rocketeers club.
    Not all the members even noticed the loss until the FBI came by to check.

    This is where the extreme liberal and extreme skin heads meet. Liberals want communism and equal sharing of wealth, reguardless of person's value. Skin heads think it is a conspiracy, the jews, blacks etc are to blame for them being held down. Reality: Work hard, study, don't have kids until married. 15% chance of poverty. Have kids drop out 90% chance of poverty for whole life. Public schools warehouse kids for the most part. If you want to get better treatment, join the PTA. Volunteer. Public schools CAN teach better than private. They have the funds, they spend them on the few thoroughly engaged students. They give slack to the popular students. They give slack to the atheletes. They want peace and quiet from the rest.

    Unless you are spoofing the speedpass of the CEO of Exxon,
    the poor schmuck whose speedpass you cloned will get the bill.
    It is stealing from that person. They could notice the extra
    fill-ups on the bill and try to fight Exxon about them.
    I'm sure that they would win any court battle.
    Feel good that you are getting "FREE GAS" and forget that
    you may have robbed some poor kids of christmas.

    It is not IM's fault or M$'s fault.
    It is the hacker bastards that need some serious jail time. I want to live in a world where my doors are not locked. If someone trespasses I get to shoot them. Why should I be patching and fretting and locking and acting like a scared bunny? Do you blame the post office or cardboard companies for the UNABOMBER? Your failure to blame the bad guys helps them. I don't like kids testing all the doors and walking into open ones. Their parents need to teach them better.

    How about the launch codes for our nuclear arsenal?

    In 8th grade (1974 before computers were common), my teacher did an exercise with us. We were to write instructions to shoe laces. Then the student read the instructions to the teacher. She did exactly what the instructions said. Nobody ended up with tied shoes. Everyone understood that computers do exactly what you tell them to. Do this for fun at your next family gathering.

    They want an additional charge on Video and iTunes.
    This concept started when they saw how much Apple was getting from iTunes.
    They looked for a way to get a piece of that. They asked for .25 for each tune, Apple laughed at them. Now they have refined the pitch. They can also slow down the network and blame the video downloaders. What I don't want is a bill with extra add-ons when my kids pull down a bunch of 'free' videos. Pay for pipe size, not content. They want to get more for first
    run movies, but not hammer you for virus updates.
    The better solution is to offer flex-time pipe sizes. Download your flix over night and save bandwidth during the day.

    So what else is new. They see a pile of money and want it. It is easier to sue than it is to make a product. Maybe if there are enough suits everyone will go out of business. But nobody will be harming anyone else. If Yahoo! is not putting in keywords, it is their own profits that are harmed.

    The debt we owe to unions is OSHA. Unions were useful when they helped with life threatening conditions. OSHA does that now.
    Unions suck the life out of companies and workers.
    Ask GM, Ford hell ask ALL OF FRANCE!
    They don't want to hire anyone because the unions won't let them
    fire anyone.
        I like having most of the money that I earn. Pay taxes to the govt.
    I don't want to pay taxes to the mafia.
    Unions exist for themselves. They live off of worker's earnings.
    It is in their interest for you to be unhappy. The only worse set
    of blood suckers are the Rainbow Coalition race baiters.

    When I did support, we had tiers for new customers.
    New software, answer as fast as possible.
    A couple weeks later, wait a couple hours.
    A month after purchase, call back is in a day or so.
    Tell them that you are on a call and will get back with them.
        They either learn to do the job, or they fail and get fired.

    This works for paying customers and relatives.

    They have a way to make things work that is undocumented.
    This works better than anybody else's methods.
    When someone else starts to use it,
    M$ changes it.
    It is undocumented, so it is ok to chang it, WITHOUT NOTICE.
    The other company's stuff crashes.
    M$ Profit!!

    we should shut down all U.S. industries and cars?

    If you are going to have a no holds barred Bully game,
    it has to have Dylan Klingbold and the freaks from Columbine.

    Digital projectors are to save distribution costs.
    They are Digital rights management vehicles. (studios can watermark every showing and find the theaters that put movies on the web)
    They also work to lock out indie movies.
    But mostly 1080i SUCKS! It is way lower resolution than 35mm film.
    1080 is ok for my monitor, but not for a 50ft screen.
    Give me Cinemascope or even better yet, IMAX!

    Open your eyes and ears. Where you listening to the folks on the highway? The ones that were wondering where Uncle Sam was. The ones that did not bring thier medications to the shelter. The ones that sat at home waiting for the government to come get them. A hurricane is coming, the mayor should have Public Address systems telling people to GET OUT. Even if you are dirt poor, you can walk. 20-50yrs ago they would have walked out. My america was based on rugged individualism, not the feds taking care of everything. Grow up and act like an adult.

    If we had all the information we do now, the day before 9/11, we could not arrest them. They did not have strange purchases. They did not make speeches. They might have been deported because some visas had exprired. The ACLU would have fought those deportations. The Arab-american community would have called it profiling. All the data in the world would not have shown what was in thier hearts. The only way to stop them is to infiltrate the organizations. 6ft patriotic honkies don't fit into that crowd too easily. TIA does help catch drug dealers and tax cheats. It can also help agents track cute girls.

    Why repeat the mistakes? Millions of voters scream at thier officials "DO SOMETHING". The only thing they can think of is "pass laws". If you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. My solution to plane hijacking is: give the pilot a button that causes a 14 inch bowie knife to drop into the lap of every passenger. 100 ARMED passengers that want to live vs a handful that want to die. Run them down the toilet and don't press charges.

    Nay Raggins did not want to commit his city's money to drive buses.
    If Katrina moved east and the evacuation was for naught (Like Rita caused)
    He would be blamed for spending all that gas money, while the city was
    going bankrupt.
    Govt. Blankstare did not know how to fill out the forms to ask for
    assistance. The feds are not allowed to send troops into a state unless
    they are invited.
    She also did not want to be beholdin to the Republicans in DC.

    If you want to blame the feds for the failures in NO, you must want to
    give them the ability to prevent them.
    That means having ALL zoning issues decided in DC.
    Ex:If the solution is adding several acres to Lake P,
    they will grab the lakefont houses. and make the next block into
    lake front homes. Money for somebody.
    Now if they want to prevent problems in your town,
    is your home safe from forces in DC.
