I'm going to hum a tune, and you can pay for the pleasure of hearing it. Then again, maybe its no longer even legal for me to hum the tune to start with, unless I bought the album, and its being hummed on an approved playback/humming device....?
This is just plain greedy.
I think we already have this kind of thing here in Australia?
"Microsoft products also vulnerable to Mozilla flaw"
If it was a Mozilla flaw to start with, my linux boxes would be vulnerable. I know its picky, but the title is not accurate IMHO as Mozilla is being used to take advantage of a Windows feature, rather than the flaw itself existing in Mozilla.
It's the OS all your Windows applications and games won't run on...
And depending how the windows upgrade path is, maybe won't run on your next version of windows that come on your new PC.
Well, IE had a security exploit so it's time to switch to Linux!
I think you mean another security exploit, in a long line of security exploits.
You just can't be sure your app will still run in 5 years..
You can still run all your software from Win98 or your current version of windows? What about software written for XP that may not run on Longhorn due to the break in compantibility we've been warned about? All your hardware is still supported from 95/98 as well? I for one have been caught by software that doesn't run on my next windows upgrade, and hardware that becomes obsolete.
...you can't expect the Linux desktop to become standard if it doesn't embrace any standards itself.
OMG!! What world are you living on? Standards + MS?!?... Oh man, I wish I had my mod points right now:)
"...noticeable spike in cybercriminal activity, suggesting that even the arrest of Sven Jaschan, the German teenager who has owned up to writing Sasser and Netsky has done nothing to curb the problem."
Oh right, so the arrest of Sven was going to solve the problem...? Maybe he wasn't the cybercrime boss after all..? Idiots.
Wouldn't this be a great task suited to the Seti framework?
All patriotic Americans could use their spare CPU cycles to help the FBI process this information. Anyone who didn't could then be considered a Terrorist, no??
Have you tried it?
I googled for "hutton inquiry" and did not get redirected. The ads appear right at the top, but no redirection.
If you're going to cry, "unacceptable!" here, try it out first.
mouse/keyboard (Controller)
MVC... umm... the C doesn't equate to keyboard or mouse.
M = Model - business objects and such
V = View - presentation, web pages etc.
C = Controller - code, in this case a Servlet that decides what is to be done
And now back to your coffee:)
Well, they've already got a head start I think.

Did you actually RTA?
How is getting MS to remove that clause from the contract hurting Japanese companies??
I would Troll you, but I have no mod points at the moment...
Oh, but I do understand FUD. And I think my comment points it out quite nicely.
Rare that I'm going to bother replying to an AC.
The title is quite misleading on first glance.

I imagine so, though I haven't tried SuSE.
Have a look here for some detail

Yes, you could do that..
My preferred method is to download webFonts.sh and run it as root. Nice shiny fonts, easy!
What a joke!

A beowolf cluster of horses? Wouldn't suck, but sure would stink after a while...
Hmmm... I dunno??
How about READING THE ARTICLE... oh right, this is Slashdot...
I've gotta get a Beowolf cluster of these!
How can .sex possibly be dangerous, if we're all practicing safe sex? :)
But would I be able to download Britney Spears' latest medical records?
I got mine with apt in Fedora from ayo.freshrpms.net
Nice!
Also, the photo of Ellison is kind of comical. If you were to throw a black cape and a tall hat on him, he could be a circus magician.
After recent court action regarding a distro from France, would it be legal for us to say he might be compared to M@ndr@ke the Magician in appearance?
Hmmm...
Should that have read, "And what prevents them from shipping a broken OS as per normal" ???
Yes I am, you insensitive clod!
Wouldn't this be a great task suited to the Seti framework?

Mydoom.A shut down the site of SCO, owner of the Unix operating system

Bwahahahaaa!!! Hope they checked the rest of their facts better
