If you're just getting an echo dot for the "meow meow" skill, you'll get bored after driving your cats crazy a few times,

I'm pretty much against these voluntary microphone bugging devices...BUT:

While I'm not sure what a 'meow meow' skill is...if one of these things could keep the fucking neighborhood cats from sleeping on my black convertible roof in the carport...I might reconsider and get one!!

I can't figure how to keep the fucking cat(s) from sleeping on my new car roof and getting hair and all over it and footprints on my car.

I've asked around, and folks have suggested waiting up at night and taking "target practice"...some even recommended putting out a bowl of anti-freeze.

That last one puzzled me, but I googled and apparently cats will drink anti-freeze and then well...they won't be a problem for sleeping on my car anymore...they will be asleep permanently.

I'll admit, I'm no cat fan...but I don't wanna 86 someones pet. I do wish they'd keep the damned thing inside the house.

Anyway, I digress....any way an echo or dot could keep the damned cat off my car at night?

  3. You have a choice. You can pay a living wage or you can pay for the social safety net that subsidizes those jobs that pay less than a living wage.

Or, yet another choice those folks get other jobs that *DO* pay a living wage, or work two jobs to get by....

They can also try to be somewhat intelligent human beings and see that they need to spend time off work honing skills that get better jobs!!

It simply is NOT that hard to get a job out there. It might not be one you like right off to bat, but there are jobs to be had where you can support yourself. And yes, you might have to struggle and not have luxuries in life, but that's kind of your own fault, for not grabbing that education you were offered as a youngster.

You have to pay the piper at some point, and if you didn't do it early on, well you have to do it later in life, when things are even more difficult, but it can be done.

Society does not owe you a living, it is up to you to fight and do what is necessary to live and succeed in our civilization and economy.

Humans were born to adapt...so, fucking adapt!!

I wouldn't switch to DirectvNOW due to:

    1. No built in DVR capability (helps skip commercials).

    2. On some days,it would periodically keep asking me to input my password, like it lost it somehow.

The interface was pretty slick, and the deal they had was pretty good, I got to see AXS and Velocity channels I lost when I cut the cord to ATT Uverse.

But it just isn't ready for primetime to me...glitchy and no DVR yet.

I may look again when they add DVR to the service, but who knows when that will be.
