    Any reasonably sized chunk of land probably has more than one species of mosquito, for example here in Wisconsin we have not less than 58 species. Even tiny Rhode Island is home to at least 46 mosquito species!

    Hell, here in Louisiana, the mosquito is the fscking state bird....

    It depends.

    Indeed.....for many projects, I think often contract ones with the govt. more and more...EVERYONE on the project for the most part often is working remotely from home.

    I'm seeing this more and more often....which is nice.

    Unless you are afraid to 'stand up' on the teleconference team meetings...you'll get your share of attention for accomplishments.

    *Proper use* of quality condoms, *proper use* of quality birth control pills, well designed IUD.

    Condoms are KNOWN to fail.

    Even proper use of birth control pills fail....I know, I've had to get rid of three of them even while chicks were on the pill.

    I dunno about IUDs, so can't speak directly to that...but I doubt they are 100% either.

    About the only sure fire thing is if she has a hysterectomy.

    If you have two or less, you're not contributing to population growth, as it takes 2.1 to do that.

    Some of us don't give a fuck aobut population growth.

    I have no kids (that I know of), and don't want any.

    I don't want to be tied down by the little anchors and have them suck all my disposable income away. Also, having kids...tends to force you to associate with just one lady throughout their lives...even if you don't like her any more.

    If you want to have kids, great...go for it, just try to do it with a woman you can stand for at least 18 years (kids really should have two good parents in a good household)...and be ready to sacrifice money, and time to raise them properly and be involved in their lives (do parents go to PTA meetings anymore?). And above all...don't BITCH about it...you chose to have them.

    But not having or wanting kids....real men feel that way too. I frankly don't want them, especially at an older age.....I like to meet different women, have relationships where we just have fun with each other!! Go out to eat and party, travel, have nice things....and not have to worry about kids in the mix.

    Not everyone wants the curtain climbers.....

    Go for it, it's not like syphilis, gonorhea, chlamydia, genital warts, genital herpes and HIV/AIDS are something you should worry about.

    A shot will clear up most of those...

    And I'm in an older crowd now...hell, many of them have been married for years, and are just now back on the dating scene...so, best to try to stay with 'clean' chicks...

    Sure, you have to use one the first times or so with her till you get to know her history, and 'check things out' below.....but once done with that...

    Now..if your banging the younger crowd...20's-30's..sure they carry more diseases since the young girls of today seem to be ready to fuck anything with a pulse much more so that the women that age in my day....

    I've always saved e-mails (except those with jokes, or large attachments), and several times I've been able to dig up an e-mail to prove to my boss that I had already told him something. At least one even an e-mail a couple of years ago.

    Yep...email is a great CYA.

    That being said, I'm surprised as many compaines as seem to be referenced on this thread, actually even ALLOW external connections to Facebook, and IM outside the firewalls to the real world. Do they allow streaming too? Most places I've been too, that blocked off for security.

    Sure, you can email stuff in/out too....but in most places I've worked, of course email was the exception and allowed....mostly going through the company's own email servers.

    I've actually be surprised to see that some of them are allowing webmail private account connectivity from work....

    I prefer email, at work, for most everything, due to being able to do it in batch mode. I can work....and when taking a break, then I go through emails.

    This way, my concentration isn't being broken every few minutes by and IM coming in....or whatever when someone is trying to get you THEN.

    I only generally use the phone if contact and action is urgent.....but email is nice for keeping records of conversations, as well as communicating in an asynchronous batch mode.

    One has to analyze the total economic advantage of having a girlfriend on the other side of the world. Seems to defeat the purpose.

    He didn't say it was his only girlfriend. Actually having them spread out away from you make juggling more of them MUCH easier. I've done it with different girls in different cities around me and even across states...but never in other countries.

    I was reading for the 5D...best to get something called the "L" lenses? I heard on still shots...they auto focuse faster, etc?

    Are the EF lenses a step below the "L" lenses? I'm still trying to figure that out.

    I"d likely get one body and one GOOD lens...what would the best general purpose lens to start out with be?

    Well, one thing to help keep from this crap happening....BUY US CAUGHT FISH...rather than all that shit from china, thailand, etc.

    In addition to having no compunction about selling 'counterfeit' fish, they farm raise in conditions over there with pesticides and anti-biotics that are illegal to use when farming fish in the states.

    We do have labeling laws here in the US, at least on fish...take advantage of it. Buy only US caught fish, and try to get only wild caught fish too....

    Geez, people are still scared to eat Gulf fish, after the oil spill.....seafood that has been tested more than any other food in history for the most part....rated as perfectly safe, and yet people keep buying essentially chemically contaminated fish from the east, without thinking twice?

    Unless you are into professional video, DO NOT get the Canon D5 for video. When I mean professional video I mean: You have a dedicated focus puller or a very good add-on focusing system - most DSLRs do have auto focus in video mode, but for technical reasons they are somewhere between junk and utterly useless.

    Yes....I've been on video shoots with the D5 before, and I know about the autofocus being non-existant for the video.

    I've seen and been researching videos put together without having auto focus and without focusing systems...you gotta take a series of shots with no movement, etc...

    I'm looking to shoot kitchen shows at first...so, not a lot of movement, and with shots sketched out in advance and storyboarded (somewhat at least)...I think that would be ok.

    That and I've planned to get the rigs you put the camera on, with the focusing system, for manually doing it during shots that require it.

    I'm wanting also, to learn and get into still photography...so, why not get one camera (albeit a pretty sizeable investment) for one investment in hardware...you know?

    But I'm doing my research, and like I said, I have been in shoots using this camera.

    I thought I heard of a mark III version coming out...maybe it will have auto focus for video?

    Agreed.

    I'm saving now...to get a Cannon D5 Mk II DSLR.

    I want it for superior still photos...but also, for move quality HD recording!!!

    I've seen these on commercial video shoots, and it is amazing...so, one camera, 2x great video modes.

    If you're the type of person who opens a brick & mortar business based on a product that is clearly nothing more than a passing fad, are you really doing the market research beforehand to guarantee that your market is large enough? Probably not.

    Well, that's the thing. You get in early on the fad....open shop, sell a good bit, and sell it off before the fad ends, and move on to the next business start!!
