    Well, there's the old "Golden Rule"...He who makes the most gold, makes the rules.

    So, unless she's the big bread winner, she's really got nothing to say in the matters. And it did say girlfriend, not wife, so she has even less say in it.

    Don't get me wrong...I'll compromise 99% of the time, because I'm easy going, but, on the other hand no chick TELLS me what to do or orders me around. I have final decision as long as it is my house, and if she doesn't like it...well, there are plenty of others out there to replace her after she hits the street.

    Well, that sad truth of it is...people who live in highly ethnic, poor neighborhoods TRY to have normal lives too (they're not all bad, no), but, I've heard story after story about shootings breaking out, and kids at an outdoor birthday party getting injured or killed in the crossfire.

    Well, to be fair, most guys go ANYWHERE with the intent of picking up girls or to get sex...

    Sure girls go to hang with friends, that's where you have to know the ways to separate them from the 'herd'. Having a friend play wingman is quite helpful.

    Well, there are ways around the 'defenses'...you just gotta know them. And as usual, you use the shotgun approach, you keep hitting on different ones till one takes the bait. You can't let yourself worry about rejection, 'cause there is ALWAYS another out out there to try next.

    And while I would argue that 'nice' girls and guys go to bars too, I have to ask with regard to your last comment: Who the hell wants a long term meaningful relationship?!? We're talking about getting laid here.

    But even with that...if you go through enough women, eventually you find one you do actually like, and if you want, THEN settle down, but, certainly no guy (or almost no guys) goes out with the intent of finding "Miss Right". I don't know a single guy in the world that is out on the town, spies a girl across the room and goes "God, I have got to have that woman...did you see the personality on that chick!?!?"

    Roaming? Companies still charge for that?

    I mean, I've very rarely ever been somewhere where I don't have my normal carriers signal,b ut, even on the few times my phone says it is on roaming....I don't get charged extra for it?!?!

    Ok, I've seen this alluded to a few times on this discussion. How they hell would a person run up bills that high??

    I mean, most plans I see have 1000's of anytime minutes as a minimum...with nights and weekends free....and long distance is free too. How do you run up such high bills with all that time?

    I've only been with sprint since I got my first cell phone in the last 90's. I've never given a SSN to a phone company.

    However, I've been concerned that I will run into the same thing with switching and getting an iPhone....but, to get around that...gonna do it through my company I formed to do contracting through. I'd be ok giving my EIN, rather than my SSN.

    I just do not give SSN out, I'll pay deposits no problem, but, I don't give out SSN. Sure it is a bit of a hassle with utilities, but, it can be done.

    I pay for my routine care out of my Health Savings Account.

The cost of giving everyone in the USA a routine physical every year (particularly if there were no billing issues) for free is a pittance compared to what it would save."

    Actually, it seems pretty economical for me. The large deductible is no big deal...I will ONLY use insurance for an emergency.

    For routine 'preventative' care..I just pay for everything out of my HSA that I load up annually pre-tax....and when I tell Dr's and testing facilities that I'm paying on my own...they usually cut at least 15% off the top of their fees they would charge insurance. Paying for you own routine care is not a big deal, especially if you do it pre-tax. Why should you not save money for routine care, just like you save for any other necessity of life?

    Great...how about everyone that wants Canada-care, moves to Canada.

    I'd prefer the US to still be the land or free choice, and personal responsibility. Why shouldn't everyone save money for routine health needs just like you save for retirement, etc?

    Insurance should ONLY be for emergency care ( like a heart attack)....

    If it were easier for everyone to set up pre-tax HSA's to save for routine stuff, and insurance was ONLY for emergencies....it would cost everyone less all around.

    Of course that would necessitate the typical US citizen learning how to be responsible, like we used to be a few decades ago.

    I'm not a republican...I consider myself quite indie.

    But really...is this what we want? I mean, look how GREAT Social Security is working out...will be bankrupt by the time I reach retirement age.

    I can see Obama-care going the same way, unless we start taxing pretty much everyone by 55% or more on all income.

    Frankly, I'd rather them open up the HSA program for eveyone and make it easier to save your own money to pay for routine medical care, and just have insurance for emergencies.

    So, is carrying cash, even LARGE amounts of it against the law now?

    If so, what is the threshold for carrying cash around within the United States? I know you have to declare when crossing the border, but, travel within the states, I didn't realize it was illegal to carry large sums of cash. What if you are going to Vegas, and want to deal only in cash? That's illegal now?

    I'm curious.

    Let's say you start buying gold bullion...storing it in safe deposit boxes.

    When you want to cash out some of it....where do you take it to sell it to get the 'market price'? I doubt seriously it would be one of those people on tv that have you mail your gold jewelry in for cash.

    I know you can buy gold bullion from the US mint...but, who do you sell it to when you're ready?

    I mean, it is one thing for this to be a Local/State decision, but, where does the Federal Govt. come in to play with all this at all? Talk about overstepping the bounds?!?!

    On a side note...if they did want to start this somewhere, I'd recommend New Orleans East and the 9th Ward...we need to just finish off what Katrina started. That area was all swampland to begin with...let it return to nature, no one's hardly living there now to this day, just a drag on the New Orleans recovery.

    However, my beef is WAY more basic than that...why the hell are they asking for my internet information for in the first place!?!?

    It is no ones business what websites I have up, or what forums I participate in...

    What is this, the electronic version of submitting to a drug test?

    Interesting, that is actually fairly common down here where I live. I'm guessing maybe you live up north somewhere?

    Why would an admin, running a website offering 'anonymous' posting even keep logs that associated IP with posters?

    Seems the best thing to do for all considered, is not to log IP/poster information. Nothing (in the US so far) says you have to.

    While that would certainly raise concern in most people seeing that....I don't believe anything in the circumstance you mentioned, would make the person that sees it legally bound to do or report anything, even if something DID happen later.
