I live in Sweden and I dont think there are any channel that i can subscribe to in Sweden that are broadcasting Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis. Is there any way i can be able to watch the show without doing illegal downloading of the episodes? I find it very interesting since isn't the movie companies taking our culture for hostage when they say they own the right and don't want to sell it? Whats wrong with my Swedish money by the way?
I would prefer a better solution putting some pressure on the movie companies. If we say that they only own the right to the movie as long as they provide a flexible non monopolistic way for the customer to buy the stuff (no stupid DRM etc, plain divx, mpeg etc). Otherways anyone is free to upload the episodes/movies/soundtracks to any p2p network without risking legal issues. This is to ensure that people can get hold of the culture.

I actualy did the same thing with an ibm deskstar 30gb drive. The controller on the harddrive burned and i lost all my data. But i went online to a direct connect chat and asked if anybody had a model of the same type. I manage to find one that hade one that was manufactured one month before mine. So i asked him if i could borrow it and he said yes
But when i said what i was going to do he got a bit scared. But all worked well and i must say that im very thankfull that people still belives in the good will of helping others:). Think i have the pictures of the swap here someware if someone wants them:)

I think it is a great thing that a company has started to make low power cpus. Imagine all those P4 and AMD cpus out there that waits for Word to tell them to do something. You dont need 3ghz for that. A modern P4 or AMD processor uses about 70W of energy for nothing.
Hey if you could reduce that to 35W you are not only geting 35W less for the cpu you are also lowering the power consumtion on the air condition. An office building that starts to take the power consumtion serius could save lots of cash on electrical bill and probably some on the environment to:)
I remeber when a friend of mine thought that a DOS attack had something with the OS DOS to do. I wounder what he thought. Sending lots of boot floppies with DOS to SCO or even worse. Braking in and installing dos on their servers:)
Anyway i think people should stop with this kinds of things. It is only hurting linux if people act childish just because SCO doesnt understand that linux is a great project that doesnt need any other os's source code:)
I remember when the mmx processor came. It hade this all new instructions that would increase the preformance with over 400% or something:).. But there where no applications so all the mmx instructions did was increasing the cpu core -> making the cpu extra hot.
Today we atleast have some programs that utilize the mmx instructions. But how long did it take?
Now to the point. When they make a opteron dist "Windows 64 and Redhat for example" do they only make sure that all applications can run, like only patching the necesary or do they redisign the whole os optimizing it for speed?

SCO refuses to divulge the code in question, however they promise to reveal it in court
