    I would find it hard to believe that in the USA they don't have similar systems?

    We prefer the rat on a wheel approach to power backup. It usually works, we just forgot to feed them so it failed on such a wide spread application

    What the hell is a router in florida doing going out when it isnt even in the blackout? On the day of the blackout, in Las Vegas (NV), I was in Best Buy. I dont know how or why, but the power there went off too for about 15 minutes. Weird.

    Hey now, the nevada desert isnt that hot...its only death valle (well, close too...(kind of)). I saw some of the parabolic dishes hauled out to the desert in the chill out room at the con this year, some of those things were fugn huge.

    Just curious, but which district is that? I have had the same problems, although Im just a student so my opinion holds no reighn in the places it needs to be to get the point across. I convinced my schools tech guy to allow me to linuxfy one of the computers for him to play with it, but that was about it.
