I am quite sure that there will, eventually be a very easy workaround for this. Don't companies realize that no matter what they do, somebody will crack it?
I wonder if and when music will actually get to this point where everyone buys music online? Personally I like to own the CD to have the original CD art...
That's word,we pray(pray,pray)
We got to pray
Just to make it today

I mean, yeah MC Hammer rocks and all, but come on... what does this have to do with Microprocessors?
I do believe at this point in the IT field that Windows is cheaper/easier to support compared to Linux.
More IT profesionals are trained to know Windows and deal with Windows. Yes I understand that you/. nerds know Linux and would prefer Linux, but not every single IT person comes here.
/. is obviously aimed at the Linux/OSS crowd, no wonder everyone here thinks Linux is better, no matter what... Although I agree it is too =P
I thought the point of a company hiring you is so that they may make money off of you (i.e. What can you do for the company?).
I understand there are some companies that can somehow make money off of you creating open source software for them, but does it really make sense to look for a job in which you create open-source software? I mean, isn't working about bringing in money at the end...?
But do you really think that is a luxury? I mean, it is nice to release when it is ready, but don't you think that some corporate pressure is good to push the progress faster, not necessarily resulting in buggy code.
Very few will actually pay for music online to download when everybody else will download the same music, with no copy restrictions for free!
I just bought this damn computer and I have no more disk space!! Oh yeah, i have 2000 songs on here that I can't listen to...

but nowhere in "DNS" does any word stand for "single", like in single sign-on...
You know if everybody makes a single signon technology, nobody will have a single signon...
If Microsoft started building bridges!!!
Oddly enough, today's Word A Day is Good Samaritan
What in Gods name are you talking about? Some sort of jive?
This is good because the money that they save in Microsoft licenses will go to their charitable work.
Oh really? Are you sure? =P
'One of the great challenges for computing in any charity is to provide more for less,' said Mike Hermon, Information Systems Manager at Samaritans.
But I thought Windows was cheaper than Linux...
Some Ideas:
"Be like RMS"
"We put the OSS in OSS"
Just randomly slashdot Red Lobster, they are going to love this... Probably scare the hell out of them =P
If successful, this technology would help remove the dependance on gases that contribute to global warming. Talk about Cool!
Talk about cool? Haha, you guys get that one?!?! haha... sorry =P

Don't forget that we won the war of 1812 against you yanks (in less than 24 hours at that). MuuuuHAHAHAHAHA
And you post this as an Anonymous Coward, great...
...something about Canadians, no news here =P
That 'Smiley' guy is always pissed off, he taunts me in my dreams...
I posted this at like 8:20 and must've forgotten to click that all important 'Save' button.
Well maybe that is the problem, editors keep accidently hitting the save button throughout the day... I am sure we will see this story yet again... =P

I would LOVE to use Mac OSX at home. The only problem is buying that expensive Apple hardware, maybe this would be a good solution...

This is a great idea! If only my country could embed a chip inside of me and everyone in the U.S., then we can bring spam to a whole new level!!!
It will be pretty crazy in many years to come to 'preserve our digital heritage'... Think of all the emulation that will be needed over time.
I don't understand why you would need to emulate everything though, shouldnt it be the data that actually counts?
Always freaked me out being asked my address just to buy some solder or something.
RadioShack was selling people trained for war?!?!?! Oh wait nevermind, wrong word... =P

But when will 3.0 actually come out?!?!
When it's ready.
Okay, thanks for the info!!!
