Remember that just becuase the judge ruled in favor of the telemarketers done NOT mean that he supports them, what he supports is the Constitution and Laws of the US. Judges can't ignore the law becasue they don't like what it allows. Think of cases of Double Jepordy, the judge is required by law the toss the case, even if it means that a person who is now clearly guilty of murder is going to walk! It's a hard job to make the unpopular calls that side with the people you dis-like, but it's a judge's job!
There's supposedly some register hack to easily un-activate windows xp, but then the old activation number SHOULD work (so using something like system restore should fix the problem). It would probably require something more then that (but i don't know what).
Let the feds be attentive, I am NOT a virus writer, I am not providing details on how to do this, because I don't know how it would be done, and I am just exercising my right to free speach, saying that this would be a very nasty bug that could take advantage of MS deciding to build in a way to cripple their own OS.
I'm waiting for the virus taht cause Windows XP to believe that it's not "activated" and cause hunders of thousnds of people to call to re-activeate their OS.:) Talk about DDoSing them.:)

Let's see, make a sale now and get you locked in for a year or tell you that we won't have this for ~2 more months and risk you buying another phone from someone else in the interim.....They just want to get your money (and if you buy the 300 now you might buy the 600 in 6-12 months and give them MORE money). I still prefer my 2032SP, it may not have great battery life, but it's got great features and the "transcriber" handwriting recognition it top notch.
SanDisk is also making a SD WiFi. Here It's not as powerful/fast as other wireless cards, but it does exist. Also there are bluetooth cards that are out there and do work.
Notice that I said it's better to have 2-4 cards with high credit limits then 7-10 with average limits. I'm not saying close all open cards and walk away. I'm saing close some, and then INCREASE the limit on others. Consolidate your avaliable credit. That RAISES your score, you need to read the WHOLE post, and use quote in context.....:)
Wrong. A closed account still shows on your credit report, It won't drop off for 4 years. It will show as "closed" but will indicate your history. Run your own report some time and look at the non-revolving accounts! By leaving it open you lower your avaliable credit. Also having a large number of open accounts LOWERS your score! It's better to have 2-4 cards with high credit limits then 7-10 with average limits, and will give you a better score. I closed 3 old cards that I never used, my credit score went UP and then the 3 cards I still had all offered to raise my limits. If you have old cards taht you don't/won't use...>CLOSE THEM! they hurt you alot more then they help.
he he he, Yeah i think it is something like that. Too bad I can't (legally) controll what everyone else on my ISP (the one I connect through, I do not own it) runs for software.:)
Well that's also becomming an issue with spam. Spammers use trojans to turn other people's computers into spam machines, now that user (or their ISP) gets blacklisted....and what's that user or ISP's recourse? They are now stuck on a blacklist, and this isn't illegal. I hate spam, but blacklists arn't all good, as many users have pointed out, and they are becomming less usefull as the trojans are used more and more by spammers.
I would doubt that. If the case where they are paying spamers to spam, all they need to say is "My contract stipluates taht every user must have the right to opt out". If intentional fund a DDOS attack then they would be liable in civil court.
I would rather have my computer wiped and lose my data then have a hacker steal my financial info and steal my identity. I've got my inportant data backed up, and even if I didn't, it's not worth nearly as much as my financial identity.
They are worse for the target, but a virus spreads it's dammage over hundreds of thousands of users. So it's a lot of dammage to a small number of places or small dammage to a hugh number of places. I would say that they are different not better or worse.
a) I'm not arguing that, i'm just saying that have to go to that trouble is a pain...some people like doing that and that's fine, i just don't like having to do that (yeah call me lazy:P)
b) The bench marks i've seen are more split, some put intel (P4 and Xeon) ahead some say Opteron's better. The only place that I see any real difference is that Intel has yet to move the Xeon to 800 FSB. So the dual systems seem to give Opteron a bit of a leg up, if they do move to 800 FSB then it would be back to the benchmarks.:)
c) If you need more then 4-gig of ram then go for a 64-bit system, i'm running 1-gig on one machine and 2-gig on another and i don't see needing any more then that for a little while, if I do, then 64-bit is a good choice.
I'm not saying that 64-bit is bad, or that it's not comming. I'm saying I think it's too early for me, and probably alot of others. If your in the group that need it, then it's a good choice. If not, wait 2 - 3 years and then buy one when it's more useful to you. After all intel/AMD, 32/64 bit, 1/8 gig of ram, it's all about what you need/want. Persoanlly i'm gunna hold off on the 64-bit.:)
Ok, so I can buy hardware now that runs that code and can run the new stuff, or I can buy a dual 32-bit machine now (for less $$$) and then in 2 years when there's more software I can pust money on a dual 64-bit machine which will cost less then it does today and then I can really use the added feature. Why spend money today for a feature I can use if i buy the "right" software or compile my own? It's not worth it. I'll wait for the tracks to be built up a little more before I board this train.
Ok, now I understand that all it's really changing the is scenery, but "fly a plane on Mars"? The atmosphere is WAY too thin for that, most planes would never get off the ground!:( That's why I stopped playing flight sims, the all had no respect for physics. The lift/thrust/drag ratios are the same at sea level and 50K feet which just isn't true. I want a game with a REAL physics engine (and a space flight sim that really knew physics would be even better).
And that is why the NT series (including 2K) SUCKED at running games, Sometimes that performance hit is acceptable, however for media/games/graphics intensive applications that are more and more common, it's not so acceptable.

ISP Guy: Your coputers Infected, get a patch.
:)
Customer: I can't download the patch, you've turned off my internet access
That could be a problem
I don't think it's the fuel cell they will object to, it's the 200 "refills" in my carry-on that would worry them. :)
Actually, yes I have. It's kinda like making out while driving....adds a little more complexity. :)
Ummmmmare you SURE that none of your money went to Germany when you baught a VW? Or is that part of the "USA" now?!?!
The joys of being color blind, i don't care if the Red looks orange or if the colors fade.....:)

Ok, that looks really cool. Thank you. I guess i'm spending this weekend getting a windows box up and running for that. :)

Or just have the guys on poles just turn back on 1 stret/neighborhood at a time, which is, not suprisingly, exactly what they do. :)
I thought the switch was later, oooppppsss.
